Some potential changes on the coaching side, a lot of Hopkins alumni among the CAA coaches, Voelker, Tucker Durkin, Steven Boyle, Tierney, Nadelen — I’d sure expect some fallout among the coaching ranks.
You forgot UD offensive coordinator Matt Rewkowski co captain on 2005 national championship team at JHU. Not that he’s going anywhere.

The CAA teams will be stacked.
With returning seniors, with transfers, the kid from Rutgers is transferring to Delaware, and I’d expect another transfer or two.
You’ve got also a whole lineup of incoming fall 2020 recruits, a real good class across the board.
Suspect quite a few role player seniors will not make it back to make room at the top.

Nads staying means a lot for the CAA.

You’ve got Nadelen, who seemingly is now on a renewed mission.

You’ve got Baxter, already on a mission at Fairfield.

There’s going to be some serious competition in this league.

A cross eyed teacher lost her job. She couldn't control her pupils.

In the end, mankind used so much toilet paper, they wiped themselves out.

Its strange how 8 glasses of water a day seems impossible, but 8 beers is so damn easy.

SON: dad, can I start a fight club?
DAD: sure, knock yourself out----little levity when so much is needed- hang in there everyone

That we need for sure.

Time for CAA coaches to start working that transfer portal.

Philpott is one of six current UMass seniors returning to the team next spring, seeking to finish out what was a promising campaign. Philpott, along with captains and midfielders Jeff Trainor and Charlie O’Brien, as well as goalie Cameron Carpenter, midfielder Devin Spencer, and close defender Jackson Suboch, all intend to come back to Amherst. Only LSM Dan O’Brien will not utilize the extra year of eligibility, as he has a job opportunity he doesn’t want to forgo.

Not much going on with the CAA.
A couple good pick ups from the portal.
And a couple decent players still showing.
Not sure there are any major changes in this league due to the transfer portal.
And, no fallout really from the coaching change at Hopkins, with the exception that I’d think Nadelen really solidified his standing at Towson.
Not going to speculate on Coronavirus impact, on class starts, impact to next year.
And also, I see that “normal” recruiting has picked up again, some interesting recruits, Delaware got a de-commit recruit from Furman.

The CAA put together a good retrospective on the
“best of” CAA tournament from the past several years.

My Memorial Day NCAAs fix,

Delaware - UVA 1st round, 2007,
the full game, good quality too, on Youtube.

Looking for a great action packed lacrosse game,
no need for shot clock in this game,
this is your game.

I suspect all this really means is teams will cut back the number of games, try to stay local for out of conference, but will play all CAA games.
To keep games to one day affairs, a neutral site could be used, UMass is an overnight game for most teams, so maybe Fairfield could host any UMass in conference games to ensure a one day turnaround. I’m guessing teams look to schedule 10 games max.

What about maybe inter conference weekends for OOC? Kind of like the Colorado weekend w UD and Air Force ans two others playing round robin. Maybe have two Philly schools like Drexel and Nova host two others, whoever RMU and Richmond or whatever. Hobart and Cornell bring in GTown and Towson. Have the hotel and overnight but two of those and maybe one or two OOC rivalry games and your down to conference.

As things are beginning to normalize,
let’s get back to what is pertinent to this league.

This is a good writeup on this coming year’s
incoming freshmen, from a large scale tournament
last year, 4-5 CAA incoming freshmen are highlighted,

Hofstra is opening a week early (Aug. 24) for the fall semester, eliminating the fall break, and ending classes before Thanksgiving. Students will take exams from home in early December.

What are other CAA schools doing?

Towson has a nearly identical plan as Hofstra. Students will report a week early in August, and will spend the last two weeks after Thanksgiving taking the classes virtually.

Drexel,
...deliver a full 10-week term, which will begin on September 21 and end on December 14. To minimize the potential for virus spread, students who are on campus will be asked to depart by Thanksgiving. Following the Thanksgiving break, they will complete their final week of the term and finals remotely...
...academic year will feature a hybrid approach to learning, research and student life ... Classes will be taught both in person on campus and remotely.
The final confirmation of our plan to return to campus will come when Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf determines that Philadelphia can move into the least-restrictive “green” phase of the state’s coronavirus reopening plan.

Maybe it will have zero impact but with Delaware not being the wealthiest state I have to wonder if DSU likely absorbing Wesley College could that potentially siphon some resources away from Udel?

That will have less than zero impact on the University of Delaware. UD is a private-public research university with a $1.7 Billion endowment. And ONLY 10% of the University of Delaware's funding comes from state funding each year (and was approved last week). The majority of state funding covers scholarships for in-state students. The other 90% of funding comes from tuition and earnings from the endowment. The truth is that the state only provided $11 million for in-state scholarships and the University provided an additional $18 million for the shortfall on those 6,500 in-state students.

There has been a long debate about the public-private status of the University. Most UD Presidents have battled with state law makers on the representation of actual Delawareans at the University (currently at 36%). The current President was asked why more Delaware residents are not a bigger part of the student population and he gave the unpopular response "Maybe they don't measure up?"

UD is not popular with the politicians in Dover who have been asking for an audit on their dollars for the past 5 years. UD refuses to do this. Many people have said that it is more likely that UD will become a fully private University before Kowtowing to the politicians who fund just 10% of their budget.

I know that this was a long answer to this question, but UD is is no immediate danger of any funding shortfalls.
