Mac Bredahl I heard is coaching a JV boys wrestling team down in South Florida. Is that true? Not sure if that is his true calling but good for him.

Wow! Hats off to coach McCormack....guy has been doing it the right way for a long time and mentored a TON of guys that are all over the coaching landscape...Hopefully the Ephs can send him out in style..

We are only months away from the jealous chirps about coaching footwear and sideline antics!

A good man and an incredibly straight shooter with recruits and players. No surprise that he gave Williams a long runway to find a replacement. It will be fascinating to see the candidates that come out for one of the very best jobs in DIII.

Perhaps his son will be among the candidates?

His wife is retiring from Williams College. I know one of the assistant coaches and he said the coach is not retiring. So not sure who leaked that info.

Are you talking about the assistant coach that also just left? I was told this from a sophomore on the team.

That is a pretty serious thing to put out there GoTerriers. Presuming it isn’t your son on the team, I would hope you had more than second hand acquaintance rumor before posting it. Not to say you aren’t right but, as smoova said, McCormack is a straight shooter. If he is planning on leaving at the end of this season, I am very confident he would be telling the kids he is currently recruiting that. Would be interested if anyone has heard anything about that.

In '23 Midd was second to only Tufts in most defensive categories. I'm anticipating a better defense in '24.

He graduated college one year ago? Oh but he played D1, for a bit. Sounds like a typical NESCAC hire, actually.

So much for the naysayers questioning Boyden's potential contribution to UVa's offense (from Inside Lacrosse):

"The Cavaliers reached 17 goals without two-thirds of their expected starting attack. In their stead, redshirt sophomore Thomas Mencke, starting in the lefty spot, scored six goals. Senior Jack Boyden, playing primarily on the right, also scored six goals. The third starter, freshman McCabe Millon, finished with one assist"

There are a few other D1 teams that come to mind (UNC, UMich, UD?) that haven't seen memorial day in a while that should maybe figure out what Swank and Brun are up to now and get them on the roster before spring.....
