I was a kid when I first saw this (born in 78) and thought “I’m going to rip off your head and s**t down your throat” was one of the most profound statements I ever heard...
The story Gordy tells about the fat kid and the pie eating contest is excellent.
Yeah—the Lardass story was great. “BOOM-baba—BOOM—baba—BOOM!” lol
Showed it to my kids last year. My son is horrified but loves the leech scene. Daughter was six at the time and liked it but superficial laugh type thing.
This is far and away my favorite scene in the movie, especially Milo’s lines.

Maybe it’s nostalgia but I love when Gordy stands up to
Kiefer S and his crew. It just the “suck my ba**s” part though it is inspirational but how he stands up to them.
Wanted to beat the s**t out of that old alcoholic junk man for what he said to the one kid with the burnt ear (Feldman)

perhaps my favorite sequence from the Godfather movie:
A little singing from Clemenza, a cooking lesson, and a snappy line ''Paulie? you won't see him no more''. Love the authentic Bronx, NY accent.
^ I should have added that Clemenza is one of my all time favorite movie characters. First, he was rotound like some of my other fave characters (Ralph Kramden, Nero Wolfe, Brad Ranyun, Minnesota Fats, Cannon, Fred Flintstone, Bluto, Tor Johnson, Haystacks Calhoun, Gorilla Monsoon, etc). He had a great sense of humor and always made with the jokes ~ was especially good at one liners. Of course, he loved his food like I do. But in the movie you also see that he is fiercely loyal, has the street smarts, is enterprising, and is a good mentor to Michael Corleone. He's a real New Yorker, portrayed by a real New Yorker. Nothing phony about the character or the way he was presented. Hollywood should have made at least one movie about him with Richard Castellano in the leading role.

I liked Clemenza, too. There's a subtle little bit of dialog where an interesting bit occurs in this line:
"You know any good es-spots on the west side?"
The "es" before "spots" is distinct from any pronunciation I've ever heard. Ever hear a guy from Brooklyn say that, Brooklyn?

Sounds more like a partial lisp rather than Bronx dialog. Interestingly, Spanish speaking West Indians and others will pronounce words that begin with S in words in English as E then S. For examples words such as "steam" pronounced "es-steem" or "street" as "es - street":
Several explanations are given in those links. Actor Castellano was of Italian descent so I don't think this was a factor in his pronunciation. Interestingly, Castellano is also a Spanish word for Castillian which is the biggest province in Spain. Today, the Spanish language in that country is officially called Castellano, not Español as you may have learned in high school. Español or Espanyol is referred to as the language of the Marranos/Judios or the Jews of Spain. Pronunciation, usage, and even the spelling is often different for both language forms.

Mr. Rose to Homer:
"That's Vernon. Best stay away from him till he gets to know you better. Then you best stay away from him even more."
"You know, they ain't our rules, Homer. We didn't write 'em. I don't see no need to read 'em."
