2019 Fantasy Lacrosse Draft
Re: 2019 Fantasy Lacrosse Draft
as it's improbable that wewantmore will pick a #1 pick that you wanted to pick with your supplementary pick, i think his taking 2 picks is fine. but, by the book, he does supp, you do supp, he does #1, you do #1.

For my supplemental pick, I choose Brendan Rooney SO A Yale.
For my first pick, I choose Joey Epstein FR A JHU.

Re: 2019 Fantasy Lacrosse Draft
I think Admin wanted the non-supplemental picks to happen on the days he sent to everyone, so October 1 for you and October 2 for TLD.WeWantMoreLax wrote:For my supplemental pick, I choose Brendan Rooney SO A Yale.

ohmilax34 you are 100% right but that doesn't stop the fact the draft is slowly starting woohoo
Epstien was always going first this year

Just like Shack Stanwick was always going 1st four years ago. It doesn't mean it's the best pick. But, if I were in this position I would've picked Epstein as well.Uklax wrote:ohmilax34 you are 100% right but that doesn't stop the fact the draft is slowly starting woohoo

I couldn't help thinking of Shack too. He didn't turn out to have been the best pick in retrospect. But I certainly couldn't have seen the better picks at the time.ohmilax34 wrote:Just like Shack Stanwick was always going 1st four years ago. It doesn't mean it's the best pick. Re: 2019 Fantasy Lacrosse Draft
Guterding went something like #6 or 7, and I think some of us drafting later wondered how he lasted that long. Of course, I got Heningburg in the 3rd round.WeWantMoreLax wrote:I couldn't help thinking of Shack too. He didn't turn out to have been the best pick in retrospect. Re: 2019 Fantasy Lacrosse Draft
Guterding lasted that long because he did a PG year. Caused him to fall off a lot of Incoming Freshmen lists.

Re: 2019 Fantasy Lacrosse Draft
Epstein is a no-brainer. I doubt he'll be the top scoring Freshman in 2019 nor will he be the top scoring Senior in 2022. But to take a chance by drafting the Canadian, kid from Florida, or whatever who will actually be the top scorer is foolhardy. Too risky. WeWant, good pick.
With this said, a different coach may have grabbed one of the top scoring upperclassmen from 2018. TBD.

With top-scorer, Buddy Carr, graduating, Spencer could easily have his points jump.Typical Lax Dad wrote:Supplemental Pick: Devin Spencer

There's an unquestionably great car but it's a used car with minimal miles. And there's another great, but not unquestionably great, car that's brand new. Logically, you should go with the used car but the potential of complete ownership and that new car smell has a strong pull. WeWant went with the new car and everything that goes along with it. Heart over head. With this said, was there even a question with "WeWantMore"...Matnum PI wrote:With this said, a different coach may have grabbed one of the top scoring upperclassmen from 2018. TBD.
Re: 2019 Fantasy Lacrosse Draft
As a semi-aside, with the Draft starting in the fall, we've lifted the former "no talking about players that haven't been drafted yet" rule.
Re: 2019 Fantasy Lacrosse Draft
Not a fan of lifting that rule....just saying. Ps. Just got power back from the hurricane. I will do my best to pick when I am up. House was hit pretty badly and tentative return to work date isn't until Oct 8th or later...
