The PLL. He was the first pick in the draft.
Does the PLL pay enough, even for its #1 pick, that he won't need another job too?
I hear it's easy to live off $35k a year...
He’s BSing,

Course you have the rest of the year to earn a living
plus clubs, camps,

he can do all right for his age.
One of my good friends plays in both NLL/PLL... very good player in both. You know him if you follow the sport.

He is not making more than 35k from PLL a year and does have a day job...
According to Lacrosse Runner blog as of 2023,

What is the highest PLL salary?

The highest salary in the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) is currently $107,028 a year.

Those with the lowest paid salaries can expect to make around $43,000 annually, while the highest earners have a salary of up to $168,000 annually. This means potential earnings can range from $43,000 to $145,000, depending on skill level and location.

These wide discrepancies in pay suggest that there may be plenty of opportunities for experienced lacrosse players to advance and enjoy higher salaries.
Is that annualized but prorated or actually salary?
Now I love those cowboys, I love their gold

Taught me so well, that I grabbed that gold
I left his dead ass there by the side of the road, yeah

I google too.

Also, you're link doesn't make much sense. The highest paid salary is $107k but the "highest" earner is getting $168k... wouldn't that mean the highest salary would be making 168k vs 107k? Btw, this came from my friends mouth, not a blog on the web. He scored a goal this weekend :D

Hence I was wondering if they poorly worded it to mean annualized based on 6-9mo actual pay. Not a big deal, while playing a game and making six figures is great, these days in large cities kids coming out of undergrad are getting $100k base off the break. Even here in Atl. I’ve heard/seen numerous above avg but not killers going into baseline financial service jobs getting $90+. I can’t compare the true value add of each to the economic landscape myself however.

I am not entirely sure what you're getting at... Here is word for word from the link you just sent...
  • The highest-paid lacrosse player is in the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL), with salaries reaching up to $30,000.
  • Generally speaking, the average salary for professional lacrosse players is around $25,000 to $50,000 annually.
  • PLL players: $35,000 annually.

I didn't realize that the ECAC gave out lacrosse awards. Cornell looks to have done well:

Coach of the Year: Connor Buczek
Offense POY: CJ Kirst
Defensive POY: Gavin Adler

Congratulations to all.

Incoming freshman Sam Ricci won 20 or 25 faceoffs and scored a goal, and junior attackman Jack Henredeen scored 6 goals, as Victor crushed West Genessee 20-9 yesterday in the NYS Class B semifinals. Tomorrow Victor faces Garden City at Hofstra in the championship game, which should be a barnburner.

Ricci seems a bit under the radar at FOGO (no stars from IL) and he looks like he’ll be a nice addition to our FOGO group. While Cascadden looks to be the main guy, having other options given health and matchup issues is a plus.

Ricci has had a very strong season, but with a couple hiccups such as against Irondequoit's MD fogo recruit. As LaxJuris said, he should be another nice option in our faceoff group.

Herendeen will be a strong addition year after next. He is a pass first X attack, who is very quick and can score when he needs to.

In other recruit news, AJ Nikolic (at attack) and Walker Schwartz (LSM) are US lacrosse All Americans in southeast PA. There are a fair number of honorees, but also many outstanding players in the Philly area.

Willem Firth is currently tied for the scoring lead with Finn Thompson in the Ontario Jr. A box league, but has played one fewer game than Thompson.

Down 9-5 to Garden City in the fourth quarter, Victor scored the next three and had the ball in the last minute with a chance to tie but was unable to get the equalizer as GC held on 9-8. Ricci finished his HS career strong, going 15 of 21 at the faceoff dot, while Henredeen, who’ll have another crack at a state title next year, scored two goals.

It looks like CJ Kirst has recently joined Mimico in the Ontario box Jr. A league. He has played 2 games and has 2 goals and 5 assists. Firth is second in the league in scoring, and Bowie Horsman is 7th. Peyton Booth, an incoming freshman from VA, is also doing well on Firth's team.

This is excellent news. I don't know CJ's background in terms of (box) lacrosse experience, but it seems to me that becoming a better passer is key to his development to that proverbial "next level".

As a quick addition in the World Games, John Piatelli will play for Team Italy in Pool E. The pool includes Austria, Hong Kong, Mexico and Scotland. I assume that Piatelli has a good chance at being a real force against this level of competition.

World Lacrosse has a streaming package on their website and ESPN will cover the games. It should be fun watching.
