Trenchard is one of the top cover defenders in the country (in the world). She anchors an incredible defensive unit that will be fun to watch tomorrow.

Simple man to man defense with fabulous athletes that do not require much in the way of help. They are a pleasure to watch and are exactly what you want to show to High School players when teaching man to man. I will be anxiously awaiting the match up with North. So far North has always been the superior athlete this year, I think that changes tomorrow against UNC who can match up with anyone of their defenders. I always have to keep in mind BC is coached by one of the best 1v1 attackers ever to play the game. Ms. Trainor was never the fastest or quickest player on the field but man she could make you chase that stick. Should be fun.

Did anyone catch the name of the color commentator at the beginning? I don’t recognize her voice.

BC has tried to shut off Hoeg and Ortega to begin with.

BC mostly intiates from the left wing and sends cutters to the backside

Great game so far, BC winning the draws is key. Interesting defense schemes- unc giving North a ton of room and BC face guarding Hoeg and playing Ortega tight. If UNC freshman can generate some offense will cause issues

Thx. Weird. She is not listed as having played on live stats. They list two subs, but not her.

seacoaster wrote: Thu Mar 04, 2021 11:34 am I think UNC wins by 7 or so, and that it won't feel that close. BC is 3-0, with Albany, USC and UMass under their belts. The jump to UNC is like moving up from AA ball to the Show.

The issue will be the BC defense: still too young and inexperienced. BC has also had a lot of TOs in the last two games, which neither USC nor UMass made them pay for. UNC will not be so kind. To compete, BC needs to win draws and be very, very efficient with their possessions. So... what? UNC 18-10?
I really think UNC has the best defensive/goaltending unit in the entire country. Taylor Moreno has a 5.45 GAA with games against Stony Brook, Florida, and Duke along with High Point and Vanderbilt. Moreno is also saving over 60% of the shots taken. On the contrary, I don't think that Hall from BC has seen shooters like UNC has yet. UNC is loaded with depth. Excited to see what the Heels do on Saturday. Defense wins Championships!
Totally agree. Can BC even be the first team to double digits against Carolina?
I concur as well ,this one has running clock with 15 minutes left. Yellow cards will be quite fashionable as well, I have BC with 5.
Anyone have a tasty recipe for Crow ? Hall outplaying Marino so far and North looks like the most dominant player on the field ( Hoeg and Ortega being face guarded ) It’s only one half but BC playing so much cleaner than any game all year.

UNC is such an unselfish team and is the epitome of team lacrosse...shut down the attackers and the midfield steps up. That is what makes them so dangerous. CN is probably the best athlete on the field and is good as advertised...all 3 of her goals were from the same spot and move. Surprised unc is giving her so much room but I'm sure are fine with her getting 6 goals and limiting damage from the rest of the offense.

Carolina up by 3 goals at the half. And 5 now. Crow not relevant.

I've noticed that players don't show up on live stats unless they have actually recorded a statistic, so many come in and out of the substitution box unnoticed because they didn't record any fouls, offensive, or defensive statistics. I imagine it would be an absolute nightmare for the statistician to record a substitution in the live stats each time a player for either team enters and exits the substitution box as well!

BC looking really gassed. Haven't sub'd a lot and it's starting to show. No effort to redefend...it may get a bit ugly from here on out..I'm sure UNC will not take their foot off the gas.

NJ, that won't show up on the sidearm stats!

Game as expected. BC is much improved and has some nice younger players, but they are 1-2 years away. Can we please stop with the North hype? 3 solo goals on the ame move and shut down in second Also Hall 20ga and 6 saves so far ... hmmmm ...
