Re: University of Maryland Terrapins
This years Terps--what will they look like? We know they lost Emma Schettig on defense. They have Colson back but at what effectiveness? Did they pick anyone up through the Portal during the offseason? Inquiring minds need to know...

In another thread...
...a poster noted he was wholly unimpressed by the once Mighty Turtles never having lost a regular season B1G game before last Sunday, not so Funday.
So TL did a bit of research and noted the only proper comparison would be the Tarheels’ record in the same five (5) year span.
The ‘Heels lost five (5!!!) conference games.
That is all.
Peace, out.

Tell TL that’s a lame comparison. Ask him if he really wants to put the Big 10 up against the ACC for strength of schedule within conference from 2015 - 2021?Turtles Lax wrote: ↑Tue Feb 23, 2021 9:14 am ...a poster noted he was wholly unimpressed by the once Mighty Turtles never having lost a regular season B1G game before last Sunday, not so Funday.

Seacoaster doesn't think TL needs to stop. Seacoaster thinks TL just needs to understand that his "LaxChix" play in a weaker conference. Seacoaster thinks TL can find plenty of solace in the many championships Testudo has recently won.Cletus wrote: ↑Tue Feb 23, 2021 9:25 amTell TL that’s a lame comparison. Okay! This is soooo much fun!
TL’s Laxchix played BC, UVA, Da ‘Cuse, and Carolina fifteen (15!) regular season games in that span.
The then Mighty Turtles had FOURTEEN (14!) WINS.
Your serve...
Peace, out.

That has nothing to do with your original assertion. Any port in a storm, eh?

Huh?
What assertion are you referencing?
The genesis of this discussion was TL noting Sunday marked the very first regular season B1G loss for the formerly Mighty Turtles.
You essentially mocked the Terps’ B1G schedule.
TL is simply pointing out the fact their schedule is formidable. So are the results.
Peace, out.

Re: Huh?
I think TL would admit that the BIG10 hasn't had a very deep conference, top to bottom (save for MD/NU) compared to the ACC. And I think Cletus would admit that MD has owned the ACC during the time period referenced.Cletus wrote: ↑Tue Feb 23, 2021 12:51 pmWhatever. It’s an exercise in futility debating with a chameleon. you don't get style points for having a deep conference, only get points for winning the NC.

Not that TL needs any help, I thoughtI I would pose a question for those in the know. The Terps left the ACC for the 2015 season could someone provide the ACC Championship winners prior to the Terps leaving ?Cletus wrote: ↑Tue Feb 23, 2021 1:45 pmI’ve become bored with this conversation as I have with TL‘s fan boy shtick.8meterPA wrote: ↑Tue Feb 23, 2021 1:11 pmI think TL would admit that the BIG10 hasn't had a very deep conference, top to bottom (save for MD/NU) compared to the ACC. Re: University of Maryland Terrapins
Only that when they were a member of the ACC Maryland held (11 ) ACC championships, Virginia held (5) UNC held (1) Cuse (0) so my point was that while playing in the ACC and thereafter Maryland has always been rather successful against ACC opponents. I will admit that having a schedule that does not include ACC powers this year is a blessing.seacoaster wrote: ↑Tue Feb 23, 2021 3:12 pm Umm, gee, what’s your point?

Turtles v. Wolverines.
Seemed B1G+ is in accord with B1G and Peeeeeee Geeeeeee County in presuming nobody wants to watch the reigning Natty Champs play.
Zero video til about ten minutes to go 1st half. Zero audio til much later. All the while TL messaging the B1G+ network asking why they bite. Must be Evil Empire folks; they don’t care.
Peace, out.

Ugggggghhhhhh...
...uncharacteristically sloppy game from YOUR University of Maryland Terrapins. Said sloppiness enhanced by carelessness. (e.g. the toss from the Turtles’ keeper to begin a clear midway through the 2nd half. )
Haven’t looked at stats yet but lack of assisteseseseses is remarkable this season to date. The hallmark of the very best Terp teams is assisted scores.
More in a bit...
Peace, out.
