Just saw that movie a couple of years ago for the first time. Loved it. The below isn’t a memorable line, it’s a memorable scene! A lot of good lines in this film. It was the capstone for SC LA movies. Much better than Boys In The Hood in my opinion.

You think you Ron O’Neal or something!

I just spent 5 years in the joint!
WOW! That looks intense. Is the rest of the movie this good?

That movie was the Capstone of South Central LA movies. Not a gang movie….a LA way of Life movie. Lars Tate’s performance was incredible. A realistic depiction of that life during that time.

Did I ever mention a movie to you called Snow on tha Bluff? Started riots at the viewing in atlanta where it was made with some real footage mixed in. Rough area that for a long time had a open air drug market and the “protagonist” is a (real world I’ve confirmed) crackhead stick up boy who really did bring some loose footage from the streets from a camera he stole off some Ga Tech kids that was woven into the film. West side of the city near another neighborhood called Bankhead.

Now I love those cowboys, I love their gold
Love my uncle, God rest his soul
Taught me good, Lord, taught me all I know
Taught me so well, that I grabbed that gold
I left his dead ass there by the side of the road, yeah

Loved that film
Yeah, one of my all-time favorites. I go back and watch it again periodically when I’m in the mood. Funny, my mother tried to get me to watch that movie for years and I just for whatever reason didn’t want to. When I did I was glad she had recommended it. Perfect example that a film can be great without sex and violence.
