Pretty interesting document. When you reach, near the end, the compilation of "Issues for Congress," it has to give you pause that we have a Congress in which compromise and consensus, and nearly any kind of rational experimentation with policy initiatives, is demonized.

Hope so. Would be the first smart thing we've done with our foreign policy in a LONG time.
Here's all we have to do, and Nixon laid it out perfectly when he was talking about the Soviets:
"what we have to convince them of, is that they cannot win a war, and that the rewards of peace are infinitely greater than anything they could hope to win from war".
That's it.
This is why Putin failed: he convinced himself that he could win a war against Ukraine, and that the profits were higher than had he taken Hillary's offer of peace, and great trade deals with the US. Whoops.
The one thing we've gotten out of Ukraine? The Republicans have finally stopped with their moronic assertion that Putin is playing chess, and "the Dems and the Euroburgers" are playing checkers. Even THEY know how stupid that idea was now....although they'll never admit how freaking wrong they were on that count. Only grown ups admit when they're wrong.
And if you're a policy wonk, and you think that China didn't pay CAREFUL attention to how badly Putin's entirely unproven and untested army failed on the battlefield in just a matter of weeks? You're an idiot.
