i don't have their phone number.
why does that sound like a cranky answer to a question that wasn't posed to you?

If you're not posting questions to the board as a whole, send them by PM.

Your concern trolling has grown quite tiresome.

The answer to your question is: what it would take is a competent POTUS invoking the Defense Production Act.

Florida seeing record coronavirus deaths despite having massive head start on states like NY.

The good news is that hospitalizations may have peaked for this particular wave but they're still at a pretty high level. Schools are reopening starting next week though, so we'll see if there is another uptick in 3-4 weeks.
It looks like we'll see a flattening and hopefully dip in deaths per day following the flattening and decline in cases per day.

However, I'm going to go way out on a limb and predict that daily death rate is going to exceed 300 per day in Florida by early-mid October (currently 175 per day).

Despite the improvement in therapeutics, the infection rate is going to skyrocket if Florida forces schools to open in-person, including in hotbed areas. Of course, if some key local jurisdictions don't open in-person, my estimate may be high.

My guess is that we'll see the state force the reopening and infections rising won't get detected until mid or even late September, then the lag to deaths. At that point the die will have been cast and it'll be way out of control.

Hope I'm wrong.
They are hoping to get something positive going before the election.

i'm not trolling anyone i'm asking a question(s). if you're gonna jump in for one liners for whatever reason, which you've done quite a bit @ moi... you can start expecting some snap back.
what are you on here for, really? an echo chamber and likes? i'm legitimately interested in the answer. aren't you? bc your answer above isn't any kind of explainer.

go ahead... quote me somewhere trolling and i'll explain or apologize.

Cut that $600 benefit and force the peasants back to work. Who here wouldn’t risk their life for $600 a month...it’s a small price to pay to serve the ruling class.

Florida is back!

All signs point to a nice bend in the graphs. let's get back to work, folks!
Well, except for that one about all the increasing dead people...

Cases have been rising for more than 2 weeks while deaths continue to decrease. Narrative fail.
Democrats upset people aren’t dying (I don’t have a graph for this).

Deaths are still slightly up, but all the other numbers look promising on FL:

Deaths avg is up. But crossing fingers the daily decline Shown on 8/3 becomes a trend.

… hard to argue Florida deaths are doing anything other than continuing to go up. Last week Florida looked like it was getting ready to turn, this week not so much. Looks worse than last week. Arizona has clearly turned. Texas has likely turned, but it needs to be confirmed next week.

Interesting take. But there’s more to Covina than just deaths.

Daily deaths were down for last day, but the 7 day avg is still up.

Otherwise, new cases, positive cases, and hospitalizations are down per the link below. That’s a positive in this negative fight.

One extremely important point to make - in NY the pandemic raged uncontrolled for maybe 6 weeks, because we basically had little or no testing during that period. So people were just showing up sick at the hospital, often when it was too late.

Now testing should (hah!) be at the correct level (it is not), and the FL numbers should be much smaller. We may be somewhat better at dealing with the treatment of COVID-19, but NOT in keeping the total numbers low.

The Left always makes excuses for itself.

The Left will always find the one metric to make their claim that Ron DeSantis is the Devil himself.

And yet, when I look at the aggregate numbers, I still see Andrew Cuomo and Phil Murphy so far out in the lead on deaths and infection, I realize the Left is simply trying to play politics with a virus.

Let's see what happens with NY and NJ as people try to flood their offices yet again, come October 1. NY's numbers will spike yet again, while the rest of the country is stable to declining.

What did Seth Moulton say the other day about red state deaths, 'they deserve it'? Such a revealing statement from a sitting Congressman. All fanlax Dems should be proud. Burn a flag while you're at it.

Trump virus is too scary to finish the Mandatory US Census, but it is ok to forced children to school!

"With the Trump administration’s decision to end the 2020 census count four weeks early, the Census Bureau now has to accomplish what officials have said it cannot do: accurately count the nation’s hardest-to-reach residents — nearly four of every 10 households — in just six weeks."

He's asking legitimate questions, is the way I look it at. Not everything posted has to be steeped in negativity and to prove others on this board wrong on a constant basis, it is tiring some times. Its like a constant one-up to see who can post the most negative article or post just to see who can get a rise out of others. Just because I am saying this doesn't mean I think everything is hunky-dory, but the world is not ending. The insight on here is great at times, just noticed over the past few weeks its devolved into a negativity contest and proving others wrong when in fact that person may or may not have some credibility in what they are trying to say....

man, New York and New Jersey have such awful numbers, no wonder no one mentions them. They are literally 'off the charts'.

The thing I don't understand is: why do Cuomo and Murphy get zero flack from some of the posters here, seeing that their numbers are so woefully worse than any other state?
