April 10th. Found the issue. Updated this game (and numerous others). http://app.lummys.com/category/ranking/10/2021

HP
DJ
ESD
Westlake
Woodlands
Lake Travis

Then its a giant toss up
FanLax Computer has it slightly different and... Look at the Best Wins and Worst Losses and it'll make sense why. http://app.lummys.com/category/ranking/10/2021

Curious - What's the case for Lake Travis as the 6th team?

Think there is more of a case for Southlake as 6 on the overall body of work.
Any word on who is on the selection committee?

Interesting difference between Lummys App and Laxnumbers is the out of state games are taken into account
Lummy technically has Pearland as #6 a Class B school and Jez at #5 and they just took the W against HP

South lake lost by a lot to Woodlands. LT was winning and almost won that game

South lake got beat by more against Westlake then LT. South lake wins not nearly as dominating

SL did loose to the Woodlands. The game was the second for the day and the last of a 3 game road trip. The goal differential in the WL games were -8 for SL and -7 for LT, so I don't think that tells you much. The Jesuit game is more telling, LT looses by 10 and SL looses by 2. Hard pressed to see how LT is above SL. Interesting to see what they decide

Pearland is #6. Jesuit is #3. http://app.lummys.com/category/ranking/10/2021

Pearland is in Class B. So that doesn't compute well.

Too bad SL and LT won't play to truly settle it head to head. Both of them will likely play one of the strong HP, DJ, ESD,WL teams.

All for teams making the playoffs, but having Kingwood (1-11) go up to Vandy to play makes little sense
Basically, every Class A team made the playoffs
Make need to limit it to 8(the second 8) for Class A (as opposed to Class AA)

I'd usually agree with you, but given the strangeness of this year, I'm comfortable with it. With so many games cancelled, other things changing in these kids high school experience, I think one more game of lacrosse for many of these seniors playing with their teammates, in front of their fiends and parents, even if they get killed, is nice to have.
That said, next year I don't believe that every Class A team should make the playoffs, the 8 AA and 8A for next year you suggested makes sense.

Round Rock playing Coppell is little different. St. John's playing Austin, similar. And I also dislike these early round State Championship games because they're blow-outs but... this is the nature of the beast. I've yet to see good opening round State Champion games in numbers.
