You're inquiry hasn't gone unnoticed, DU. What I've been able to find out so far is that Cortland is like every other college in the country in that no one is ever by their phone and/or able to pick it up and answer it. Inasmuch as today is Labor Day, I'll give 'em the benefit of the doubt...no excuses tomorrow though.
In that there's a better than decent chance I'll go to watch this, I want to make sure it's open to the public (unlike Cuse's home scrimmages in their new indoor practice facility) and that they're playing at Chugger Davis Field. Will let you know when I find something out (and I will).

Dmac,

I do have the flyer and program for Cradle of Coaches Weekend at Cortland State. It is a fund raiser and it is open to the public. They are charging $5 for the scrimmage.

Fri Oct 4 - NYIT vs. Cortland

Sat has a full day of Alumni vs. Young Guns, Golf Outing, Legends Dinner, and Denver vs. Syracuse game at 7:30 PM.

The players at Syracuse are going to love playing in that quick paced offense.

That's what I thought, right? Interesting hire. New chapter in Syracuse lacrosse, turning away from 30+ years of West Genny. Amazing what Donahue accomplished in his coaching career.

Can't wait to see March do his thing.

I know we've haven't been in the Final Four for a while, but I've enjoyed every game I've caught in the past few seasons. I think Desko is doing a fine job, and I hope March is the straw that stirs the drink.....

Then onto Roanoke.

I've had the pleasure of working with his father while he served as VP and then President of Anne Arundel County Parks and Rec Lacrosse. All around great guy. https://www.capitalgazette.com/cg2-arc- ... story.html

The purist in me was hoping for a CNY guy, but hey, nothing is sacred anymore :?

 you’re not alone!

I was expecting Archer or someone like that. Or hell, Paul gait. But I have faith in Desko .

One would've thought an Upstate NYer would get the job? Good opportunity for Coach March to make a name for himself and potentially succeed JD?? Had to laugh at a few of the comments re: "fast paced style" and "will score a lot of goals" :D SU was always known for that in my day, now they're are like the rest...quick hitter if it's there, if not, wind the shot clock down... Very curious to see how much JD allows Coach March to change O model, if at all?

Is JD the decision maker of who the new hire is?

Top 10 offense at Princeton without the benefit of a dominant FOGO. A really good coach. Players will like playing for him. Best of luck to Coach March and the Orange. I am sure old #22 weighed in.

But with the benefit of a Sowers...

Nothing against the guy, just surprised SU went with someone outside the program.

That's a good question DMac. Eventually, I suspect we'll find out.
