What do all these jobs have in common (except the 2 SUNYs)?

Small, private, tuition-driven (dependent), institutions with poor endowments. Most private colleges today are economically fragile and unstable. As a result these simply are not good or desirable jobs. Add to that the fact that often you're required to do 2 jobs on campus for them to justify making the position full-time at what's usually a below average starting salary and there's a reason people don't stay in these positions long.

The Rhodes job is about to be posted. Good spot for a coach to land and build a program.

Rhodes is a good school. Sport seems to be growing in TN too. Would be nice for them to build.

Is Rhodes supporting the lacrosse program the same as the top teams in the conference? How stable is the SAA with BSC closing, and a few other schools with extremely low rosters. Maybe, that's why the HC left? Seems a little unstable..... What coaches would be considering the move?

The HC didn’t “leave”… he was fired

This is quite a claim, do you have any evidence that says he was fired?

Does it really matter if he was fired, forced to resign or his contract wasn't renewed ? Interested to hear what people have to say.... the other concerns should be is Rhodes in a health place athletically, and financially?

Haven't heard anything, but I'm really curious to see where Tommy Deluca (Cabrini) lands. IDK if he's chasing a HC role in D3 or something else outside our division. FDU, to me, is the best opening available right now. It would take time, but they have the ingredients to be a very competitive program.

Yes and yes. Way above your average (small) private liberal arts school

Now living in and around Memphis can be interesting ;)

As folks on here ask about a school's financial health, I wanted to point you to the Forbes Higher Ed Financial Grades from 2023:

https://www.forbes.com/sites/emmawhitfo ... 1e23b21097

A pretty good tool that takes many things into account. Unfortunately, it only looks at private schools.

Albertus Magnus College (CT) - B
Benedictine (IL) - D
Brockport (NY) - NA
FDU (NJ) - C+
Guilford (NC) - B
Juniata (PA) - A-
LaGrange (GA) - B-
Northland (WI) - C
SUNY Potsdam - NA
Rhodes (TN) - A
Virginia Wesleyan (VA) - Sam Jones (Virginia Wesleyan AC) - A-

While your point is valid, I would take these "grades" with a grain of salt. For example, Northland College needed hail mary donations to remain afloat for this year and moving forward. They also recently laid off 9 faculty members. So are they really sitting at C grade or something else entirely...

based on what? as what we’ve discussed prior, FDU has been in shambles the last decades or so.

Stop that right now...no he wasn't. W&l assistant job pays way more than the fdu job, plus it's a better job.

How do YOU know he wasn’t? Guy wants his own project, something to be proud of. Can’t blame him for at least doing the interview.

Horrible rumor. Better rumor would be McCabe stepping down and Mendozza stepping up.

TBH it’s out there that he’s fallen out of favor. McCabe won’t be around forever, but it’s sounding like Mendoza isn’t “the guy”. FDU might be just the spot.
