These will be interesting hires. Think the best job is Benedictine based on the recent history and returning roster.

I always thought Lawrence Tech was a sleeping giant with the right coach.

Good school, mechanical, electrical, civil, computer, & bio engineering majors.

Close enough to Detroit to visit and enjoy the city.

The built the turf field not too long ago.

That is a interesting move, going from a well established, conference champion to a brand new program. Makes you wonder what is going on at Ottawa? Are they in trouble?

Any word or rumor on interest for these programs, are they interviewing yet? Wonder how many apps they have had? Would think Benedictine would get most interest but heard its a hard place to work at and wonder if all the recent press would scare someone away

That is a interesting move, going from a well established, conference champion to a brand new program. Makes you wonder what is going on at Ottawa? Are they in trouble?

Agreed this is interesting but this may be a move to get back closer to home for Matlock who I believe played HS outside St. Louis.

I'd rank them as follows:
1) Benedictine -- Good recent history, good overall athletic program and facilities, and some good young talent on the roster.
2) Ottawa -- Good returning roster and I think the move to the Heart strengthens the the program overall.
3) Lawrence Tech -- Honestly don't know enough about them to truly know but program seems to be on a downward trend.
4) MoBap -- Dumping their coach after two years was not a good look. Glory days seem to be long gone but maybe the admin is expecting/demanding a resurgence? As with Ottawa I think the move to the Heart can only strengthen the program.

Benny a hard to place to work? Why? My understanding is previous coach stepped down for reasons completely unrelated to the school or lacrosse. Coach before that went on to his alma matter Washington and Lee which is again understandable. Assistant coach was/is a prior player as is the women's coach.

The commencement speech — did you actually listen to it and not just what others said? If this scares someone off then you’re probably right they need to not apply.

Looks like it was posted today from what I can tell. Interesting as I had heard a WHAC team wasn't returning and assumed it was Lourdes.

that is interesting because I can tell you 100% that Lourdes is not fielding a team anymore and all their guys have either transferred out or graduated
