For those who like numbers.... The NCAA tracks Portal activity by sport by year. In 2023 there were 218 D1 women SUCCESSFUL transfers, with 143 of them undergrads. Numbers get a little confusing after that but looks like about 100 more (30%) entered the portal and still listed as "active" as of Jan 5, 2024. The 218 number for 2023, for both undergrads and grads, were higher than both 2021 and 2022.

I think this year’s (2024) freshmen class was her first year of recruits. Sung left at the end of the 2021 season so presumably the players who were freshmen in the 2022 and 2023 seasons were his recruits. Can’t speak to flips or transfers. No knowledge about who is in the portal.
