What happened ??
Probably said something to the ref. Just the epitome of that program. Have no idea how to conduct themselves or “work the refs” if they’re not playing their 11th straight home game to start the year.
Damn, past your meds time?
Kick back and relax a little.
they wont win anything meaningful conducting themselves like this
This was prophetic…

So true. It’s a program that’s all flash, no grit. They yap more than any other team. What a choke job! Spallina, the goat, with zero overtime touches. Think he had one half dodge.

They were up big early and halted their own run with a bunch of stupid penalties. 4 man up goals, 9 minutes of penalties, and a bunch of stupid turnovers lead to Cornell sticking around a little too long.

That one has to hurt for orange fans. Felt like they were the better team up until the last 3 or 4 minutes of regulation.

Also why didn’t they let #22 be #22 late in the game? Spallina was winning his matchup and facilitating the offense the whole game with 7 points, but then once the game is on the line you don’t even try to get the ball in his stick? He touched the ball for a combined 10 seconds in OT.
Live by the sword, die by the sword. Feels like they were sharing the ball far more than they chose to do in the end.
A fraudulent intent, however carefully concealed at the outset, will generally, in the end, betray itself.

I’ve never seen a college coach ejected. Some if the hs refs who did sone of my games were quick to eject players, and a few times I had to work pretty hard to keep assistants from getting tossed, but it’s a rare thing in college, especially for an assistant, but then I’ve only been watching since the late 50s. I wonder what he said.

May never know .My guess is remarks challenging official integrity, can't see much else that would warrant an ejection

I have one simple question : What the hell happened tonight? From 7-0 to losing in Double OT, I simply don't understand what I saw.
Did Cornell just WIN the game OR did The Orange just let that first quarter go to their heads and go Cruise Control for the rest of the game??

I don’t have the exact number, but they fouled close to 10 times. Undisciplined play.

Absolutely brutal lose by Cuse. They are in danger of not getting an at large if they drop two more games. Shot themselves in the foot multiple times with stupid unsportsmanlike penalties. Should be more focused on the game than chirping the other team. Maybe they’ll learn not act like a bunch of hot shots and will actually win a close game.

Cornell with the win,
the goalie change at halftime was very big,

Syracuse,
close losses against big opponents - 1 goal loss to Maryland, lose by 2 to ND, lose by 1 in OT to Cornell, 1 goal loss to Army,

This is a team that is still maturing and still learning to win.

Sorry but high time . Cuse plays plenty of grads , transfers , seniors who are experienced. Losing by a goal after a 7-0 lead is different than losing one that was back and forth

Think you pretty much nailed it. The horrific amount of penalties, really bad 2nd half with just some unconscious turnovers and inability to beat a 10 man cost them. Offense also just looked tired and listless in the 2nd half. Gait needed to pule Mule and go with Birt or the 5 star frosh, he was lost all game. Also not to be that guy but the officiating was absolutely horrendous.

ALso agree about OT, Spallina should have had the ball to start. The one time he actually touched it he put a dime on Thomson who got stuffed. Gait teams have had major issues with penalties and clearing against a good ride or a 10 man, both were again major issues. Give Cornell credit they battled of course but SU definitely pissed it away.

Still unclear, best we have is that March was screaming about a missed call and was for some reason tossed. Never seen that in my life, hard to believe he said something to have that occur.

That makes more sense then saying something verbal.
