Churches can't donate to PACs or candidates.
This is a great way to get around that - just buy thousands of bibles instead.
Imagine reading a headline about a presidential candidate attacking a judge's kid. In a trial where he used campaign money to keep a porn star quiet. A porn star he cheated on his wife with. A guy who cheated on his other wives and raped and/or assaulted dozens of women. And he's now selling bibles. A guy who doesn't know the bible and doesn't go to church.
Now imagine someone defending him, saying it's ok because it might get a bible into someone's hand who didn't have it before (very unlikely on its own).

Boy, youth, that's either some inspired trolling or is really, really pathetic if you remotely believe that, in this instance, it's God's not Satan's hand driving Trump's sales of this blasphemous "Bible".youthathletics wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2024 11:51 amMaybe you and seacoaster fail to see how God can and does work. Well all know doggone well that every single one of the homes these go to already have Bibles...several of them....on the shelf.
This is taking money away from those who can't afford it, more often than not. Don't turn this into a "everyone hates Christians" thing. That's not the problem here.
If this was sincere? Trump would give them away, and you know it. There are MULTIPLE organizations that give printed Bibles away, in DOZENS of languages.
Not to mention, you can get it online for Free. This is GRIFT, YA. There's no defense for it, sorry

Selling something for $50 is likelier to bring people to Christ than is getting a bible for free online?

I am separating the Trump Bible Sale (which is grift and I agree if it were authentic on his part, he would give them away), from the work it could it do in the end. Why do any of you care that the word of God is being spread...unless you are non-believer, which is fine? Heaven forbid if it helps someone along the way and provides a common thread to openly discuss Christ.a fan wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2024 2:34 pmYA, it's a $60 Bible that funds a politician who claims he's a billionaire.MDlaxfan76 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2024 1:49 pmBoy, youth, that's either some inspired trolling or is really, really pathetic if you remotely believe that, in this instance, it's God's not Satan's hand driving Trump's sales of this blasphemous "Bible".youthathletics wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2024 11:51 amMaybe you and seacoaster fail to see how God can and does work. We've been calling out TrumpGrift for YEARS nearly every time he comes up with some new scam. It's gross.
This is no different. The part I'm trying to impart is: this has NOTHING to do with Christianity, and nothing would make me happier than to see anyone, anywhere on the planet get comfort and hope from ANY book, and that most most certainly includes the Bible.

You beat me to the punch!
If anyone wants a bible, here it is for free: https://www.gideons.org/
For those who want to study its more complicated points go here: https://www.blueletterbible.org/
Obviously tRump is selling bibles in order to raise cash for his campaign:

In the bible, certain antichrists like tRump are referred to as Pharisees.

Seven? One or two if we're lucky.
2 You shall have no other gods before me. I think there's a few things he worships before god.
3. You shall not make for yourself an idol, whether in the form of anything that is in heaven above or that is on the earth beneath or that is in the water under the earth.
4. You shall not make wrongful use of the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not acquit anyone who misuses his name. ‘Using the Lord’s name in vain’: Evangelicals chafe at Trump’s blasphemy
5. Remember the sabbath day, and keep it holy. Except for golf, and everything else.
6. Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you. https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics ... ther-will/
7. You shall not murder. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, but Ivana's death is suspect.
8. You shall not commit adultery. Whoops.
9. You shall not steal. Stealing from a children's cancer charity? Just the tip of the iceberg.
10. You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, male or female slave, ox, donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor. Whoops
