I haven't seen Loyola play much this year and then only early, a relatively close win against Hopkins. Doc?

I like Syracuse in a pretty close game -- 14-11 or something like that.
Loyola is a scary team, especially come May. Defense struggles at times but they win draws and score a ton of goals. If Spence gets hot this veteran group could make a run. I expect a shootout with SU. If your o/u is 25, I'll take the over.
Red, has Loyola played a team with a good, battle tested defenses yet? JHU? Hounds put up only 11 goals on Lehigh last weekend.
Loyola lacks some depth this year which worries me. They normally lack depth from the bench but this year the lack of depth is in the starting line up already. However, their good players are very good. Good wins over Hop and FL, PSU win looks better now. Navy an ok win too. This game will tell us how good Loyola is
I agree with this. Loyola only used 3 subs in the Hopkins game.
Ha...and Cuse only used 4 during their UNC game.

Hounds had a back game last week, but the game was called after 3 quarters because of weather, so that is why they only scored 11 goals. They also didn’t score at all in the first quarter, so it was actually 11 goals over 2 quarters.
Scored 9 goals in the 2nd quarter. First quarter they were trying to make tight passes and kept turning it over. Adams made an adjustment and the next 9 goals were unassisted iso’s. My friend’s daughter plays for Loyola. He said the weather was brutal.

Big Redettes come out and jump all over the Gate girls, 3-0.
Just for awhile though, 4-4, end of one.

Redettes come out with some high kickin' in the 2nd, go up 9-4 then get a phantom goal for their tenth. Commentator's description is it hit the GK's stick, then the crossbar, then the right pipe (looking at the cage), ball ends up out of the goal in the crease. Big review, goal is good....don't know how that happens but Red up 10-4.
10-9 at the half. Gotta love these Gate girls.

Started watching at 10-7. From what i've seen, Gate run is more about lack of focus from Cornell.

Talent gap looks pretty big between the teams

Gate D clamping down in the 3rd. Back to back shot clock violations on the Red, their next possession ends with a cto that results in a FPS goal for Gate. Red GK making some nice saves.
11-11, end of 3.

Weekdays are for the hunters! What a weird turnaround in the Duke game. Turned it off after it was 7-0. 12-10 in the 4th.

I stopped watching the Duke-ECU game in the first, when it was 7-0 Duke. It is now 13-11 Duke in the fourth, ECU has the ball. Umm, what?

13-12.

Duke's offense is as follows: Give the ball to No. __; overload the other side of the 12/8; let No. __ try to dodge. Repeat. ECU appears to have caught on. Still 13-12. Duke ball. 3:00 to go.

Dukes lack of goaltending has been such an issue. I just don’t get it.

Big Red walk out with the win 15-13, take control in the last few minutes, get a little help from the Gate girls.
Good game.

Sorry but the Duke player going to the goal with 3 seconds left while up by two and taking her 14th shot of the game is ridiculous. The coaching is obviously terrible but so is the leadership . To me all she is showing her teammates at that point is the only thing she cares about is her own stats. Unfortunately when it comes time to hand out awards all they care about is the goals scored stats not shooting percentage etc .

I was impressed by defender #7 on Gate. She definitely has ability to play at a higher level.

Its been like that for years.....its all about goals, even more than total points - some of these girls are shooting 30% - barely 40% its crazy. Worse in mens game. They never mention. A player can take 15 shots with 3-4 on goal and its like it doesn't matter.

Dilly of a Doubleheader today/tonight

Post by OuttaNowhereWregget »

#7 Loyola at #5 Syracuse 4pm ESPNU

#10 Pennsylvania at #1 Maryland 6pm Big Ten Network

Both nationally televised. Now that's a doubleheader!

My only minor complaint is the "Seacoaster spacing" could be better.

A Penn win in College Park would really be the icing on the Cake of Parity/Clusterf*ck 2024.

I love this season. Most entertaining one since Covid anyway. Love parity. Love that as of today so much is still up in the air - where team A beats B, B beats C, C beats A. Awesome. Hope it continues down to the final weekend.

It would be monumental as Penn has never won in College Park. Not to mention 14 straight losses. T'would be a mammoth yoke to break. Been playing each other since 1980. Terps 27-2 all-time. Talk about having another teams number!
