I think the CNU-Tufts game is more about the National Stage than anything else. Both are fine teams, but to me this is more about who is going to compete with other top division 3 team. A blowout would suggest that the other is probably not as good as we think they are. A close hard fought game means to me that both teams have a chance to make it pretty far in the tournament.

I think this will be a close one. It will be only Tufts second game, but CNU will be traveling all the way up there and will have more film to be scouted from. Tufts has a lot of new faces so will be harder to scout player tendencies. That being said, CNU has not lost a regular season game to a team not named Salisbury since April of 2021. Excited to watch.

Gotta think MT has the boys, and the trip plan, dialed in. I don't know either squad well enough to have a prediction on how they match-up, just pumped for the contest. Rooting for your Captains in this one, hoping for a track meet and some extraordinary creativity.

The NESCAC forum seems to think Tufts has taken a big step back this year. Many are ranking Middlebury and Bowdoin over the Jumbos in the conference. I'm not convinced...I think this will be a dogfight and Tufts is king in the north until proven otherwise.

Terrible first half for CNU. Can’t clear, can’t pick up a ground ball. Going to be a long game.

Really rough end to the half. Surprised for no timeout call.

Long list of sloppy mistakes in the first half, but most notably Cabaniss can't win a faceoff and Hanway can't save a 12 yarder stickside high. No chance to come back from such a deficit when your face-off guy and goalie are playing so poorly. Offense is creating opportunities but just so few possessions. That's gonna be a wrap. Hopefully it's a big wakeup call and learning experience.

AA goalies don’t get pulled for freshman especially as a 6th year. This performance needs to be remembered when they give CNU more awards then any other team in the country and can’t come close to having those players perform in a game that is against programs of their talent. Young is getting beat. Cabaniss looks like a deer in the headlights. D mids look unathletic

Tufts embarrassed CNU tonight. The game was over 3 minutes into the third. They should look into starting the Freshman Goalie. Very impressive tonight.

I haven't seen CNU so thoroughly embarrassed in years. How far will they fall in the rankings?

Why is CNU still running starting attack and 1st line mids at the end the 4th? Give some time to the guys who need to take over when all the 5th years leave.

Not sure if they pulled the goalie or if he got hurt. Looked like he took a late hit that drew a penalty in the 3rd and never came back in after that.

Took a not-late hit by a 160 lb atk that was not penalized. We figured he had had enough after 5 saves and 17 goals and just wanted out of there. Can't blame him. He may have lost his job tho. That freshman at least made stops.

seeing how cnu struggled against hampden sydney and stevenson, this shouldn’t be a surprise. if i were the coach, i would shake things up. maybe the 5th and 6th year players are just going through the motions. instead of fighting to play.
