Can't win games against good teams when your goalie is sub 20%.

In the end, it was the Terp's defense that let them down. The year-long erratic offense scored 15 goals which is 3 more than Army has given up all season. Obviously, Ruppel didn't have his best night (24%) but its hard to point to too many shots that he should have saved (although a couple would have been nice...). Army was able to get their hands free way too often. Terps were slow to slide and it hurt them. Just too many of the mistakes that Maryland teams usually don't make, but have been making all year and that was absolutely not limited to the young guys. I think it was Army's 14th or 15th goal came when one of our seniors was standing right next to Morin (#90) 12 yards out and just headed toward midfield to sub out. Morin, left completely alone, received the ball and hammered it from 10 yards.

A curious season.

IDK...Army got lots of clean looks. Terps D not too special either.

Terps had 10 extra possessions and didn’t capitalize. Army goalie had a standard day at 51%

Army matched talent on both sides and also graduated a ton of talent last year and played with 2 of their top scorers out today.

Fair enough. And I'm not trying to dump on Ruppel (who is quite good already and will be better), but you don't win games when you're goalie saves 5/21. Even if there are a lot of good looks in there. You just don't win those games.

Saw Army play live a couple of times this year (RU and Loyola). Was shocked how good they were. I had no idea who Plunkett even was. Love that kid's game. 24 and 20 are both really, really good and 90 can shoot the hell out of the ball. Add in good goalie play? Dangerous team and will be so next year as well.

Standard day my ass. Gtfoh acting like he didn’t stand on his head. I counted at least four outright robberies on the door-step. Dent and Ruppel are the stories of this game.

Stepping on the goal mouth is not legal.
The play was over. There is a point after play is stopped that you stop being a goddamn turd as a ref.

Did he go into the goal mouth? I ran it back once, and while it wasn't a great angle, it looked like he barely stepped into the crease and wasn't even close to the goal mouth.

His right foot stepped on the line of the goal mouth as he was standing up, well after the ball went in. It’s a very stupid rule, but it is the rule. For now. I think it gets changed soon.

Kinda like the rule about the color of a team's gloves. Sorry, cheap shot, but just couldn't resist that one.

Agreed. A no goal in GT\Yale game as well sliding in mouth. At least it’s consistent…..this weekend.
