NESCAC teams are starting the season earlier this year. The first official practice is on February 1st. Increased preseason practice and perhaps a scrimmage will help them integrate new freshman and sophomore classes.

Don't know. Maybe. Looks like Middlebury plays Trinity in Connecticut and then dips south for York and TCNJ, just to get a couple of high-quality teams outside on the NESCA on the schedule.

Cold as heck (replace the he with fu). 29 degrees with 15 mile an hour winds....

UMBC is D1... York isn't. The Retrievers were much more physical than the Spartans. Lots of cross-checking going on. UMBC had 3 or 4 yellow cards for aggressive checking. York didn't know how to deal with the UMBC ride. In fact the goalie was checked a few times leading to easy goals. York looked like they had just had their first week of practice (they did).... UMBC seemed to play their top lines for most of the scrimmage. They played 3 quarters.. I am guessing the score was 14-6 or so

Keep reminding yourself that lacrosse is a spring sport!!
