I find it funny that they claim that only 2% of MCPHS are STEM degrees. I have a feeling they inverted that stat......Dehuntshigwa’es wrote: ↑Mon Jun 14, 2021 10:36 am Colleges that place the highest paid grads, some NESCAC schools and W&L at #21.

Re: NESCAC 2020
I think the only other program with a hire in that time frame is Conn College
Re: NESCAC 2020
For what it's worth....and this may be a bit of a reach; on June 2nd Coach Devoe posted a link to his camp on social media. As of last night that link no longer works....(cue the X-Files theme music)

Lacrosse community is close, we all talk and there are a number of "rumors" floating around.
Not hard to connect the dots

Buckle up.
It would appear that rumor is becoming reality....

Re: NESCAC 2020
Coincidentally, I listened to a Jamie Munro podcast interview with Jon Thompson last week. It was recorded while JT was still at Amherst. He came off as one of the most insightful coaches I have ever encountered. He is solid on Xs and Ox, but his character development plans and philosophies would make every mom in America (and most dads) want to send her son to play for him. The link is below.
At the time I couldn't help daydreaming about whether he would ever re-up at Amherst in a Gladiator "Tell the men their general lives!" moment. It is hard to imagine without a 40-page contract granting him complete autonomy and a restraining order that would keep Biddy at least 200 yards from him at all times.

Re: NESCAC 2020
A search of the AC campus directory shows only one of the two coaches.

Re: NESCAC 2020
If Devoe is actually gone, it will be very interesting to see who AC is able to hire this time around.
Re: NESCAC 2020
Seems to follow the law of unintended consequences. Looks like their success at rebuilding the men's cross country team may not have translated so well to lacrosse. Of course, with cross country, they dumped most of the roster when they threw the coach overboard.

Re: NESCAC 2020
Given the circumstances they should look at the former Amherst/JT assistant Mendoza who went on to Penn State. Had a great track record at Amherst. He might be able to bridge the divide having already been a big part of the success there.

Called this AC situation, anyone could have seen it
Re: NESCAC 2020
Bringing in a JT assistant may be more of an admission of error than the administration can bear, but it does seem likely that we'll see a younger, less experienced coach ultimately land in this position. I feel terrible for the players who've had to endure the entire fiasco.InsiderRoll wrote: ↑Sat Jun 19, 2021 7:57 amGiven the circumstances they should look at the former Amherst/JT assistant Mendoza who went on to Penn State. Coach Haefele is telling recruits that he expects the position to be filled by July 1. They've scheduled their prospect camp for the 9th.
