...women’s lacrosse players from four (4) institutions would be preparing to play in the semi-final games...just a step away from the opportunity to win a National Championship.

They would be joined by their families, their friends, and fans of this great game.

Many of those family members, friends, and fans would already be gathering for pre-game festivities and celebrations. Some of the players would have been part of graduation ceremonies. Those seniors would have been honored at a late season game for their dedication and commitment to their sport, their coaches, and their teammates.

All of that was taken from them by fear and bad decisions. Players were taught to make good decisions; their schools and the NCAA did not. But this is NOT to be bad news commentary...

TL wishes TL was there to meet supporters of the other three schools playing on. Many friends have been made on Natty ‘Ship weekends, and friendships would have been renewed and found. Rivals off the field...friends and mates at the tailgates and beerrooms of ‘Ship venues.

To those of you with a player(s) you love, tell her to keep her head high and play on. If she’s back next season, there will be (hopefully) another opportunity to win and earn a ring. If she’s not, please tell her to WIN in whatever she now pursues in life.
