It’s not including the D2 or D3 players but otherwise it’s pretty darn close to complete

It seems like there are some schools not listed that have players in the portal.

Some schools may need to see the final transcripts before they can admit someone. And I believe most schools haven’t wrapped up yet maybe?

Keep in mind that while the season has been over for more than a month, most schools are still in session—some are in the middle of finals. Usually, players don't announce transfers until end of May/early June, after semesters are over. And especially now, with all of the uncertainty around scholarships, roster spots, etc. (not to mention the state of the economy at large), it makes sense that guys are going to take their time with it.

And it wasn't until recently that some Ivy seniors were still holding out hope they'd be able to return to their original schools. So they haven't necessarily been thinking about this since the season ended.

Another theory is that some were waiting for the Sowers domino to fall before they decided what to do. My guess is you'll start seeing more reports over the next few weeks.

Many of these graduating seniors should have put themselves in the MLL draft portal which is depleted to have another option.

Would that mess with their ability to return for a 5th year?

I dont think so. Teams that draft simply hold your rights for a year . Many seniors listed in this college transfer portal would have been drafted if they had registered .Some still may but teams are going to be leaning towards those who expressed interest

I am pretty sure once you declare for a draft you lose your eligibility .... even if you don’t end up going to the MLL.

Who said anyone drafted tonight declared for the draft? The three I’ve heard declare for the draft are not list in the above listing.

I fell like you sholuld lose your eligibility if you are drafted and declared for the draft. But MLL just decided that they could draft players even if they didn't declare

The NBA operated that way for years. Bird was drafted after his junior year and the Celtics retained his rights.

Big Corp and Law Firms also do it.
