Ideal Coaches Open Discussion

Post by WHOWHATWHERE »

We have time and I believe this will be a good topic.

Great people who have the respect of their players/parents/recruits (genuine feel of industry)

Phipps, Gtown
Stimmell, Marquette
Baxter, Fairfield
Wellner, Notre Dame
Broderson, Bryant
Shay, Yale
Breschi/Metz, UNC
Chemotti, Richmond
Nadelan, Towson

And go...

The SAs may have issues from time to time (classroom or social or athletic) but none are better at dealing with them openly, before they influence or infect the culture.

Great call.
I should also add the respect of HS/Club Coaches and his peers at other institutions.

The coaching staff at Utah is one of the most highly regarded out there. Brian Holman is a class act. Assistants Ghitelman, Manny, Marcus Holman - all great lacrosse players, coaches, and people in general.

Why don’t we name all 75 coaches and end this silly thread? Are we really that bored?

How about an unideal coaches thread or should we just go over to the Hop thread and pile on Petro.

I doubt you'll see a lot of people naming Kevin Corrigan or Brecht.

Been hearing a lot of good things about Feifs at Vermont.

I think you’ll find a ton of ND grads and parents that love Corrigan. You might not like him, but his players do.

Wish our son had an ideal coach! His was basically an extension from youth and middle school - the type that plays favorites. He did it to such an extent, he ignored drug problems and made some users captains and gave them scholarship money too!

Glad to see so many have coaches worth mentioning as “ideal” !

Not only was the real Petro having a tough go at it this season, Virtual Petro is not doing much better. 0-2 ... He cant catch a break.

The Pietramala virtual family dog isn’t enjoying it either.

Get the impression from the Hop thread that if the Jays won the Nat'l Championship in OT DP would get ripped for not cruising to a regulation victory where the bench players could see time on the field.
Of course, as a Yankee fan I get it... ;)
