Bump it a star for having Blake Lively in it.

Why? After all, she is just another pretty face:

Just another pretty face? To each his own. Definitely don’t care about her net worth, couldn’t of spared a link with some bikini pics instead?

The movie itself was ok. Probably best thing Jeremy Renner has ever done but more or less another heist movie.

Yes, indeed, she is far more than just another pretty face. :D

Rated 4 to 4½. Though a bit long this rating was well deserved for its acting, setting, and cinematic authenticity if such a term exists. A true reflection of the Townie version of Omertà (code of silence), its consequences, with genuine local dialog. GREAT chase scene - perhaps Hollywood's best ever. It is said there were three different versions of the movie that circulated through movieland. I watched the full 2:30 version. Long but worth watching.

Yep. She was trashy hot. The cookout scene was the best. I like her.

- 1924

A symphony of modernist fragmentation. I do believe part of the original movie (if it can be called that) has been lost. Director Fernand Léger was considered quite a genius for this brief work of cinematic abstraction. Léger's work may have been influenced by Weine's Dr Caligari and is definitely inspired by Dada art. References to WW I appeared in the short flick. The director was a war veteran wounded by a gas attack. Spent a year in recovery and abhorred war as did so many aesthetes in that era. The movie featured a very striking score composed by George Antheil (you may likely remember him for composing the 20th Century tv show theme. Antheil's music is quick paced, chaotic, and robotic - an artistic reflection of the era which had been ravished by a world war and a pandemic. Despite all, it did reflect some measure of beauty and frivolity ~ two very important necessities in a world of chaos. This work, though brief, had an influence on the works of Luis Buñuel and Dalí.

Went back and watched Traffic for the first time since it was released. What a great film. I had forgotten how good it was. Still thought provoking.....as an aside, the neighborhood where the drug den was, has been completely gentrified. Rents through the roof and suburbanites selling homes and moving in. I guess it is becoming Montgomery without moving out of the city.

Definitely in my “get the duct tape out, make sure the trunk is clear and rent a room at the nearest Red Roof Inn” category.

Have been pretty ill and in bed a ton this past week and watched this excellent movie on HULU (probably can find it elsewhere I’d guess) called The Stand-off at Sparrow Creek. Deals with a fictitious local militia group after police were shot at a funeral. Well directed, no name actors but they delivered pretty well. Was pleased with the whole deal at end for just chewing through free, presumably lower budget movies and this one really stood out.

I cannot count how many times I've watched it. At least 8 times. See something new every time.

I struggle w Mark Ruffalo. Seems like his acting toolbox consists of “look constipated like an extreme pill popper” in everything he’s in.
