So, if they resume then, all teams will be rusty... Spurs would likely get to play more games with Kane and Son than under normal circumstances. But then, it's so hard to say how realistic that April 30th date might or might not be. We are in uncharted territory.

With our dearth of soccer games, FIFA has opened their World Cup Soccer Vault. The first game is on Saturday with 2014’s Spain playing Netherlands on YouTube‘s FIFATV at 10 AM EST.

For me, the big question is whether Liverpool will be crowned EPL champions.

England and other leagues are thinking about dropping VAR when play resumes. Considering the way it was used in England, I'd be all for the Premier League abandoning VAR. The Bundesliga used VAR more intelligently.

Bayern vs. Dortmund tomorrow at 12:30 EST (FS1). Arguably the two best teams in the world (based on games played in 2020).

Should be a good game. As for "two best," in March 2020 Paris Saint Germain knocked Dortmund out of the Champions League.

Knocked them out after beating them and losing to them. Yes, goal differential etc. and... They split. Based on Ws and Ls and who those Ws and Ls are against, I'd take Dortmund. Dortmund has some quality Ws while PSG's best wins after Dortmund were Lille and Lyon.

Hmmm, okay. The year 2020 has provided a rather truncated sample. As for the Dortmund-Bayern game, I thought that the piped-in crowd noise was better than the alternative.

Truncated for sure. And I agree about the noise. The dead silence was too strange. Made a huge game seem like a backyard play around.

Yes, that is very good news about the Premier League. Tottenham had many players out injured in March who have now recovered, so this forced break is just what Spurs' physio would have ordered. The German Bundesliga uses VAR so much better than what the PL was doing; I hope the PL will have corrected this by mid-June. Liverpool seem certain to be champions, which would be thoroughly deserved. Oh footy we love you!

Dunno about anyone else but I am absolutely crushed over the fact that we are not going to have Summer soccer here in Lake Wobegone. Missing high school sports is bad enough. Now this! Ugh!!

EPL is back!

Couldn’t get into Bundesliga even with fans, did enjoy the La Liga game with Bilbao and Athletic Madrid, some past WC and Euro games were worthy, but even wo fans I’ll be enjoying Premier League.
