"Frank McAneny" sounds like a Scottish striker for West Ham in the mid to late 1980s. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_McAvennie

Wow. And Man City wins 2-1.

And, all of a sudden, Man City and Liverpool are two of the top teams in World Soccer...

With Hazard out injured, Real Madrid's side don't do justice to the "Real Madrid" name; terrific result for Man City. Liverpool have plenty of work to do in the Anfield return leg. One imagines that Juventus will be brutally effective in the return leg, while I'd love Dortmund to advance so as to get the chance to see Haaland some more on the biggest stage.

Bayern looks better by the day. I love their wing defenders.

Yes, Bayern are very good.... could be a good spring for the Germans, as I expect Leipzig to advance. Dortmund might not be tight enough in defense, but they sure are fun to watch.

As of last night the EPL and English football was still on schedule, but as one would expect, they suspended play till April 3. Maybe NBCSN will show replays of past games to keep us occupied.

I'd watch replays of past games... or as they used to show in seasons past, (replays of) Match of the Day highlights show. Also, Mexican league is still playing.

So, will Liverpool actually get the League title that their play (before the pandemic interrupted or maybe ended the season) so richly deserved? Also, if some leagues don't finish their seasons, how will Champions League spots for 2020/21 be awarded?

Driving me crazy to look everyday at my calendar and see the games that would've been played. Europa League Round of 16 today. Yesterday and day before, Champions League. All the club matches. And that's just soccer. Add in lacrosse, it's crazy making...
