Tiger still in the hunt at Aronomink in suburban Philly.

Have played there numerous times, as a close family member belongs. They recently restored the course to its original form from a long-lost set of Donald Ross' blueprints and sketches. Took out a LOT of tress and made large bunkers back into clusters of smaller ones.

So far, the course is not defending itself very well.

They do however...the club, that is, put on a nice tournament, which seems to have a lot to do with why the PGA comes back now and then...

The par 3 8th green...and most ALL of the trees you see are gone...

Tiger sinks a 27-foot EAGLE putt to tie with Ricky Fowler for the Fed Ex Cup Championship lead after the first round.

These are the best 30 players in the world this year...and MAN were there some great shots being made.

From the air, this course looks pretty pedestrian, but at ground level...it's a challenge. Gonna be doing a lot of couch surfing this weekend watching this.

Plus...doesn't the winner walk away with NINE MILLION DOLLARS??!?!? Jeebus!

Trinity, just throwing this out there as something that might be helpful if you're experiencing pain and/or stiffness (the kind your wife can't help you with), figure it's something you probably wouldn't consider given your profession.
Disclaimer, I've never used the stuff, not speaking from personal experience. Friend of mine had back pain problems, used it, raves about the results. Told another friend of ours, big golf nut who is looking at a hip replacement operation (has been putting it off), limping, in pain, etc, etc. He got some and used and couldn't thank my other buddy enough for telling him about it. Took six strokes off his game....am lying about that part.
Know three people using the stuff, all swear by it. Think you can get it at GNC, Nature Tyme, those kind of places.

I think you have a typo there Chairman as you mention Rose but mistakenly named the other Justin, Thomas... No matter, all following know who you meant.

To your other point, I think we are in the minority regarding our dislike for Mr. Woods. The media makes it nearly unwatchable for me. Why doesn’t he just make it official and drop the last name as they never use it anyway. You know like Madonna, Cher, Prince....Gotta show him on the range and make sure to get footage of him walking from the range to the short game practice area. Meanwhile Fowler and Matsuyama are on the course shooting 65s. DJ and DeChambeau shoot 67.

Instead of those trees, too bad there weren’t any 1 ton boulders for the fans to move for him like they did at the Phoenix Open. Otherwise, he might have won both trophies. Ugh.

Make that minority a threesome, Tiger, the alley cat, is a hard guy to like (for me). Self centered, artificial guy but the golf world sure likes to stroke and pet him. Not my kind of guy but there's no denying that he brings a lot of eyes to the game and was once simply the best. Too much dog in that cat for me.

So what? Clearly, you didnt see the WashPost or Golf Channel, etc. articles. (thought my point was obvious ) The avalanche of redemption comments have nothing to do with golf either . Take your complaints to the source. (s)

Though I'm not a fan of golf or El Tigre, it was good to see the large crowd of fans who followed him to the winner's platform.

I enjoyed the coverage and watching Tiger Woods make that historic comeback this year. Huge way to close out the year with the commanding win yesterday. He was a stroke away (if Rose ended -5 instead of -6) from winning the whole enchilada yesterday. He deserved the coverage and the crowd. He bagged $4.6mm yesterday. Good for him! I would bet there are plenty of guys who would have packed it in after trying to make the comeback from that type of back injury and re-injuring it back on that first tour in Dubai last year. Yeah the media drools over him. The guy is a beast. I felt the emotions he showed in his gracious win yesterday were truly from the heart. Incredible comeback. Looking forward to him leading the way to a Ryder Cup win for the USA!

correct! and here's what makes it so much worse- i met justin rose two months ago.

i couldnt watch him 20 years ago and cant stand him now. he's such a media darling and a bigtime complainer. add in the incidents of 2009 and he's downright unlikeable-

yet yesterday proved the opposite!

PS love matsuyama's swing. only rory's is more sound
