I don’t subscribe to the theory that all great players come from great teams, though. Look at the college game and there are a lot of great players who came from high school teams that were just ok.
Absolutely true.
On the other hand, more great players come from the strongest programs, on average, than from not strong programs.

Re NE WEST, of those 13 teams, how many were in the top 50 last year, at least according to the Fanlax formula?
3?
Brunswick, Salisbury and Deerfield?
MIAA had 7 teams in top 50, right?

Both those leagues would be considered at least 'difficult' to place as US Lacrosse All-American, relative to whole lot of other leagues.

Three teams in the UA top 25 were from the NE West to one from the MIAA last year, although that seemed like a down year for the MIAA.

Actually, UA also had St. Mary's on their top 25 list, so 2...not sure how UA makes their list, though.
St. Mary's had a good run at the end, bu MCD or BL or Loyola or Gilman or St.Pauls?
Doesn't make sense.

Bottomline, I'd take the UA list with a huge grain of salt.
