Oberlin is a tough sell to recruits besides the academics. You have some total quacks that go to that school.

There are quacks at every selective LAC, but the combo of quacks and rural Ohio presents a unique challenge.

Exactly. If you like going to the fine establishment of speedway or bell stores head on out to north east OH.

I've heard that they've made their hire and it should be released early next week.

Thank you. My guess is they go interim with the current assistant. From what I’ve heard MAC is a go with conference only this spring.

It will be an outside hire. Announcement soon! Mac plays conference and “crossover” conference. 18 teams in the MAC. The MAC teams could get a full schedule this season. The beauty of having teams to play. It will hurt some of the other conferences because the MAC teams will all play each other and aren’t going to be able to play ooc opponents.

FWIW - I think that would be a terrible approach, and the kind of thing that sets recruiting and the team back at least a couple years
Oberlin just cancelled their season. May as well wait a few more months for that hire.

Hearing that Oberlin conducted final interviews last week. I know they had at least 2 candidates from some well known programs. There is a very good chance they have their guy or will make an offer this week.

Let's hope so. Any program deserves to have vacancies filled as soon as it's feasible.

Another woke college ... just be honest and say you are afraid of the risk and potential liability it is for the school.
