It’s a shame what’s happened to the CAC. My son played at Mary Wash and although we got tired of getting our butts kicked by Salisbury and York (and being charged $7 at Salisbury) I thought the conference was strong in many sports. I appreciate the explanation. When I saw the CAC release I was scratching my head. Finlandia? I think I have a bottle of that on the shelf

The VaSID list this year is an embarrassment to the sport and, as a former SID, it's an embarrassment to the profession. Spring All-State teams never should have been published for any sport (other than maybe tennis and golf since they had fall results to add to the mix) when the people that vote on it, the SIDs, had mostly nothing but small-sample-size stats to base their votes on it. Based on the results, it's apparent that at least some did not do their due diligence to attempt to submit a knowledgeable ballot.

You odac boys stole the ink for years. The tide is changing. You don't have to use the word embarrassment. It makes you sound like a spoiled rich kid.

His dad, Marc is, and is a good one! Was an assistant at Salisbury after a great playing career at St. Mary's.
Was a AA and led the whole nation in faceoff percentage his JR or SR year.

FYI- He led the NATION in scoring, not just the CAC.
Played locally at John Carroll in the MIAA.
Childs getting some great local talent. Lots of his talented supporting cast was also local.

Here’s an interesting schedule. Lots of travel, but they consolidated some trips to stay over I guess.

I like the schedule. This SMCM team looks good on paper. Here's hoping we get to see them on the field!
Hope everyone is well.

This was posted on their instagram but never saw it on here, sorry if it's a repeat but kind of a cool behind the scenes look at the St. Mary's 2019 season, seemed like a big turning point that they talked about

If 2021 happens it's going to be an interesting final season in the CAC as we know it. Lots of questions... Is York in or out this spring? If York is out is there an AQ for NCAA? Do they actually play a full in conference schedule? Will there be a playoff?

Prognostications if 2021 pans out;
1. Salisbury - top of the heap until knocked off the pedestal. should be deep in 2021. lots of transfers and 5th years.
2. CNU - nipping at gulls heels. lots of talent and great young coach. would not be surprised to see them on top at end.
3. York (if still in but think they go to MAC) - cannot be overlooked. best coach in the league and one of the tops nationally
4. SMCM - program on the rise. good things happening down on the river. most of the offense returns, along with goalie and fo men.
5. SVa - they can score. need to defend better.
6. MWU - will they be a competitive factor in 2021?

York is officially a member of the MAC Commonwealth. Happened at the conclusion of the school athletic year last year.
