A couple weeks back I think there were a couple folks looking for the Committed Academy rosters for the CAA. In past years of this tournament they would have committed players from conferences playing on the same team (The CAA were named the Colonials). This year it looks like the CAA commits will be combined with other conferences. The games start this weekend at Goucher College in MD and the final will be on ESPN3 at 3pm for those interested.

Delaware commits will be on team Precision with commits from Yale, Ohio State, Holy Cross and Richmond. Included on this team are goalies John Wright ‘19 (Hill Academy), Tim Beach ‘20 (Boulder, CO) and LSM Josh Bayer from LaPlata, MD.

Fairfield commits will be on team Justice with Bucknell, BU, St. John’s and NJIT recruits. Included on this team are Defenseman Paul Medrick ’19 and LSM Jonathan Wheat ‘19

Hofstra commits will be on team Howl with Navy, Penn State and Hartford commits. Included on this team are middies Armand Beausoleil ‘20(IMC) and Ben DiMento ‘20 (TN).

Drexel will be on team Fire with commits from Syracuse, Denver, Cornell and UVM. Included on this team are attackmen Dean Gillette ’19 (Trinity Pawling) and Carter Begley ’20 (Ontario).

Towson will be on team Towson with commits from Mercer, Georgetown, Utah and Marist. Included on this team are LSM Colin O’Connor ’19 (LaCosta Canyon), middie Jordan Hayes (Cherokee, NJ), Defenseman Ridge Johnson ’20 (GA) and goalies Bryce Kendrigan (FLA) and Bobby Gavin (Torrey Pines, CA)

That’s good.
I’ll tape that.

Other players I’d like to have seen, but still some good ones. Begley’s a 4 star out of Canada, don’t know much about Wright but if he’s out of Hill must be good, DiMento for sure I like that guy, Jordan Hayes for sure.

That’s no joke. They did some pretty good research this time around. Even included the fifth year seniors who are returning. Must have talked to an insider for a change. Good job College Crosse.

UMass College Crosse write up.
With Towson losing a handful of players from their CAA winning squad, UMass looks like the favorite to win the conference. If all goes well.

I wouldn’t be so sold on Umass. Lots of returning offensive talent but they will miss Paparo and Scanone big time. Not sure how you replace those two all Americans.

The team with the best defense will win the CAA, as per usual.

Minto Cup is starting up.
Not many CAA players in the finals this year, in fact only one I found.
Reid Bowering is in with Coquitlam, with Coquitlam winning the BC Jr A’s.
Bowering was again named BC defensive player of the year.

That’s not exactly accurate.
There are a few CAAers or at least ex CAAers, they’re listed on the rosters but may have already “graduated” to the seniors / pros.
Gabe Procyk had a decent playoff but his team did not make the Minto.
Cornell’s Jonathon Donville is tearing it up in the playoffs, so that OLA team could be the Minto favorites.

No one in Amherst is selling anything...

Everyone is aware that it all has to be earned.

Btw, I was not dismissing UMass at all. I just think that Towson is the returning Champ and they’ve got a crazy good defense returning.

UMass is bringing back the best offense in the conference with Drexel a tick behind. Gonna be a dogfight. And you’re right about earning it. Should be fun.

Drexel —- College Crosse write up
With a good amount of Towson’s contributors graduating, Drexel could be in the picture to sneak in the NCAA Tournament with the CAA’s auto-bid.

I can’t believe no CAA team has looked at this guy.
Will Malcom, New Westminster.
He’s the right age, 2nd year Jr A.

Think he is at least a 3rd year, maybe 4th? Went south didn't last a semester.

Mars Hill I’d guess.

Forgot about Dylan McIntosh.
McIntosh had a good summer in BC box, with his team just missing the play offs.
McIntosh also had a very good last 1/4 or so of a regular season, teaming well with Tierney and turning himself into the number two option on Hofstra’s offense.

Dylan missed most of the the spring season with a broken jaw. Glad to hear he's playing well. Hofstra needs him to have a big year if the Dutch are to challenge for the CAA title.

Notre Dame is known for getting players to flip. Three months before signing day sucks for Towson. Corrigan has made a living the last few years on getting verbal commits to flip and having top recruiting classes. Despite his abundance of talent he hasn't gotten past the quarterfinals since 2015. In 31 years coaching at Notre Dame he has NEVER won a national championship
