Been watching the Nassau County/Long Island high school playoffs at HU this week. Massapequa defeated Ward Melville, 10-5, to win the LI title yesterday. Hofstra is getting an outstanding player in Massapequa's Sam Lutfi next year.

It also looks like our old friend John Orsen is joining Coach Amplo at Navy. Any speculation as to who might be Coach Tierney's choice to replace JP Brazil as assistant coach? I was thinking that Coach T might go to volunteer coach Tim McIntee for the open position.

Does anyone have an updated list of the incoming 2020 recruits and transfers? We may have to wait until the students return to Hempstead. Also, does anyone know the fall ball schedule for 2019? It looks like Coach Tierney has assembled an experienced staff. Here's hoping for a great 2020 season for HU.
