Dickson had 19 points as a 1st year during the Title run year and made some big plays, especially on extra man. He can QB the team, play on the wing or the crease and still be effective. His contributions were missed during the shortened season on account of his injury. I think he has a very bright future at Virginia.

Will Rock and Dox Aitken are back on the current Virginia Roster which is huge. Villanova’s football conference has also voted to not play this Fall which impacts Aitken’s desire to play both sports

I forget when the rule was changed that only allows 4 poles on the field at one time, but the sometime in the 80s seems right. Back in the Day, I was at a 70s UVa game when Glenn Thiel put 6 poles in the game at one time.

went to 5 max in mid-80s and 4 in the 90's.

in h.s. we had 6 on the field all the time.
lsm's one year ended up having 5 go top div 1, 2 became all americans. another multiple all-american div 3.

I believe the limit of four poles was instituted in 1990.

I believe it was Bill James who coined "defense is the art of stopping things from happening", with respect to scoring and game action in any sport. Lax, football, hockey are viewer-friendly in that good D involves a certain level of activity (read: violence) to keep general fan interest (aficionados are different), opposed to many other sports. 4 longsticks seems a good balance.

Agreed, a complete embarrassment to the U and the sport. I’m going to hazard a wild guess and speculate that the Audi driver did not pursue a career in education, which, if memory serves me well, was his grad program.

We so often point fingers when we see an occurrence that confirms a stereotype. More often than not, a stereotype about blacks, jews, gays, etc. In this case, we have a kid from New Canaan who went to Loomis-Chaffee and UVA and is the nephew of Meryl Streep (who was raised in Summit, NJ). A situation where I need to pause and say, Don't stereotype...
