He's a better messenger for the school than the $25 million they spend on diversity directors and public image work every year.

-the kids were 2-4 last year, the freshmen were recruited by some other coach, there's no reason not to show up and for the captains and veteran leaders to run their own workouts and practices. Baltimore isn't new york, it's affordable. The acc is preparing to play football, other rivals I'm sure are moving forward with spring sports. If daniels doesn't want to let the kids use the lockerrooms it's on them to use the bias or whatever field to get it going. This is Hopkins lacrosse, work is supposed to be wanted. I used to watch harrison all the time during intersessions use the gyms to do extra shooting.
Except that we are still in a global pandemic avg 1000 deaths a day here at home. The rate for infection in Maryland tripled in the last month. Then there is that small bit about the university telling students to stay home. The same University that probably has the best advisors of anyone in the country.

There isn’t going to be any organized fall lacrosse. Be realistic. The captains aren’t going to get 50+ guys together to practice either. Half the guys probably couldn’t care less about the season. They aren’t all like Cole Williams, who will stick around for another year if this upcoming season gets cancelled. Some people actually want to get on with their lives. We’ll be lucky to get a spring season.

Hoping the season happens but common sense should prevail and nothing should be forced upon any . To each his own whether that be institutions or individual decisions.

Would be natural for upperclassman to refocus toward other matters this fall if the season becomes increasingly unlikely

If the season happens, would expect more sloppy play at the onset than usual but that would eventually right itself.

they're getting $ to go to Hopkins and they were admitted because they play sports not because they're athletes or showed a deep passion for joining college democrats or organizing spring fair or the tutoring program. they are there to lax. If you're a freshman who wasn't recruited by milliman and you know that fall 2021 there will be kids he did recruit who play your position on campus you probably want to be at homewood working out showing you care.

University facilities including Homewood field, Cordish and the varsity weight room are closed. What part of this do you not understand?

They will practice, some more than others , but it will be disjointed and a tail off and shift in focus can be expected if season called off

Many players may have gained admission and received $ due to lax but all is off when acts of god occur.

Beyond one's control and the understanding of this disease is still hazy. Most players want like to play right now but a few do not and may not if season happens if health issues still exist , institutions will and fans should respect their decisions

While at Hopkins he was called Moskey, he was know as The Grump when he was an equipment manager for the Colts. If you remember him at all - the Grump is a great nickname.

Even running a lax tournament during a pandemic. Rabil makes time to mention Moskey's passing.

Oh man, sad to hear. He's still yelling at me 40 years later for stuffing my laundry bag with personal laundry during soccer season( I was lazy and well there were no girls to impress to speak of) Boy was he pissed about the 1981 baseball strike. Here's to the curmudgeons! RIP Rich- You were the perfect equipment guy for a derelict soccer program in the 80's

Jon Cohen. Longtime assistant coach and GM of the Denver Outlaws. Has also coached MCLA, high school, and club. Came highly recommended from Matt Bocklet and obviously JGJR. I'd say he's rather overqualified for the position which should tell you something about what he thinks of the opportunity to work with this staff at Homewood.

Now back to your regularly scheduled ranting and raving.

Who didn't stuff their laundry bag with some personal stuff. The key was to do only a couple of items. That way he wouldn't know. The best was between two days you would get back a hot damp bag and just feel the sweat from the last practice still on the clothes. When I say best I mean strongest memory.

You got a hot damp bag back when you tried to over-stuff it (and, yes, I did also).

I mean, it’s really more warm than hot and the level of viscosity is case by case.

Loamy warm bags aside, Hop needs to up their game. There is a post today in the Denver thread counting up the heads and claiming they will have roster of 68 in the hypothetical 2021 season! Beat that!

68?? Sounds to me there will be lots of cuts should the 2021 season materialize. D1 looks like it’s getting to be more like D3. Take as many as you can, grab their tuition, and make cuts.
