Plano Lacrosse Assoc seeking experienced boys' youth level head and assistant coaches to be active with the program from Jan through May 2020. Looking for energetic coaches with strong lacrosse background who want to teach young athletes. Candidates should have a demonstrated ability as leaders and good communicators. Prosper High School seeks girls head coach to be responsible for leadership of program including long-term development, and coordination of all levels of play, scheduling, and budgeting. The head coach will manage assistant coaches and oversee public relations activities within the school and the community. Previous lacrosse coaching experience and strong communication skills required. Fall program is 3x week; spring season begins in January and ends late April.

Flower Mound Job

High School Head Lacrosse Coach and Program Director

Flower Mound Lacrosse is currently seeking a Head Coach and Program Director for the Boy’s program.



Description of the Position

Manage and coordinate the operations of the Boys Lacrosse High School and youth lacrosse programs; serve as head coach and mentor to the high school boy’s on the team. In addition to coaching duties, the High School coach will also be an advisor to the team and represent the program to the broader lacrosse community in North Texas and all over the state.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience as a head coaching- program director preferred.

• Previous lacrosse playing experience required. (NCAA, MCLA, JUCO, High School)

• Strong communication and leadership qualities a must.



Specific Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a culture for the program that supports Flower Mound Lacrosse’s Core Values.

• Identify and retain coaching talent.

• Attend all games and practices

• Develop and implement an organized, consistent warm-up routine

• Develop a specific conditioning program and drills and individual expectations outside of practice

• Ensure all players learn all aspects of the game and have proper opportunities to develop these skills in practice and games,

• Prepare players to play at the next level

• Manage game-day operations

• Manage other high school coaches and outside resources (HUDL, team training opportunities, team “parent”, etc.)

• Communicate important information regarding team news, practice, game changes, etc. to coaches and parents in a timely and professional manner,

• Coordinate with the league to schedule games and tournaments

• Organize and manage winter and summer clinics

• Along with appropriate Board member, attend League meeting representing Flower Mound Lacrosse

• Maintain a positive/reinforcing attitude toward the team

• Abide by all club policies

• Clearly articulate player and parent expectations at least two times per year (fall and spring seasons) and hold parties accountable enlisting Board assistance when needed
