Yes, agreed. I think Maryland is just a whole lot better than Northwestern, and the very sort of super-disciplined team that will slow NU's chaotic personnel down. It won't be 14-3, but it'll be by five or more.Turtles Lax wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2019 8:31 am Hope you’re not too disappointed...not gonna happen.
In fact, you might want to tune in early...if ya catch TL’s drift.
Peace, out.

Depends on which Stony Brook team shows up—the one that did a demolition job on Colorado or the other one.
Re: Games Televised and Webcasted 2019
There’s no doubt what the big game is tonight. The Wildcats of Northwestern get another crack at the Mighty Terps of Maryland. The last time Northwestern beat Maryland was back in 2012 for the semi final of the final four. Since then it’s been one predictable loss after another. But that’s why they play the game. Go Wildcats!

Only 30 goals? Maryland wins 17-13. What’s with all the unassisted goals?
Re: Games Televised and Webcasted 2019
Lots of 1 on 1 goals. A few FPG’s. Very few cutter/quick pass goals.seacoaster wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2019 7:08 am Only 30 goals? Maryland wins 17-13. What’s with all the unassisted goals?
Re: Games Televised and Webcasted 2019
NW was up 12-11 with 13:50 left to play. UMD ties it at 12 with 12:28. Then weather delay, game eventually gets moved indoors and that's all the BTN lets us see.
Re: Games Televised and Webcasted 2019
Yeah – they had to move into the fieldhouse and there was no way they could set up all the cameras and mics and such in that short period of time. That part is understandable. What I didn’t get is that knowing there was lightning in the forecast, why didn’t they just schedule the game in the fieldhouse to begin with? Why take the chance when you have a safe controlled environment as a second option?
I heard after the fact that the fieldhouse was not an option for the nationally televised game because of technical logistics, so it was either risk the weather and play outside or no televised game. Easy choice, though a disappointing premature ending.

BC was up 16-8 over VT with 6 minutes left. Not sure if they subbed a lot or just let off the gas, but it doesn't look like it was held too close.
Louisville, while essentially a 3rd year program with who they had left after the coaching change, has 1 goal losses to Duke and VT. They've had some bad losses too, but it looks like they can play well, so I'm not sure that score means much. I saw about 15 minutes of the game - Virginia's ride was giving Louisville issues and Louisville didn't get clean looks at cage like Virginia did off of 1v1 dodges. Louisville's goalie was also playing really well.

Garbage time goals--just like they did vs Notre Dame and Syracuse. BC took control of the game in the 2nd half and was leading by 8 with less than 7 minutes to go before coach Acacia swapped out the second team for the first team and the backup goalie for Ngai--then VT scored the last 5 goals of the game.
