It seems like they are doing one or two games a day. I imagine they’ll publish the results after each round is through. You can check in to see how the voting is going by checking back with the original tweet that you voted on.
I know that a lot of the fans out there who are voting are not knowledgeable. How else can you explain Mount St. Mary getting over 30% of the vote vs. Dartmouth?

Re: US Lacrosse—Virtual National Championship
it is the Popularity factor....name recognition, etc...Or maybe there is an effort by schools to try to sway the vote...Who knows...Cletus wrote: ↑Thu Apr 09, 2020 11:57 am It seems like they are doing one or two games a day. Hello
Is there anybody in there?
Just nod if you can hear me
Is there anyone at home?
Come on now
I hear you're feeling down
Well, I can ease your pain
And get you on your feet again

I’ll bite. I don’t recall seeing a reaction to the Univ of Wisconsin saying that they will not give any of their spring sport seniors an extra season ....
While no women’s lax at UW, it’s a B10 team with a huge athletic budget. Makes you wonder if the downstream impact of the NCAA granting an extra season will be less than feared.
NW has already stated they will welcome all seniors back.
Surely some schools will hit the transfer portal hard in search of a natty in the next couple years, but I would guess the vast majority of D1 programs won’t entertain many extras at all - from their programs or others.

I have heard and its been published (I think) that the ACC is potentially looking at this as well. If a Conference (other than Ivy) makes that decision it will really mess the situation up even more. I would be supportive of individual institutions doing what Wisky did, if they have a financial hardship, but as you say, they have a ton of cash and it just seems odd.iloovzelax wrote: ↑Sun Apr 12, 2020 8:30 pm I’ll bite. I have heard of one graduating AA player from an Ivy team that is in the transfer portal and looking at a number of schools in the ACC and BIG. There will be more. If I am a top 10 team, I almost have to better my roster if only for 1 year, or 4 times over the next 4 years. Some schools will do it, not only to get that player, but to prevent others from getting her.
I hope that all is well with the regulars who have been noticeably absent. I truly hope no one has been affected with Covid.

Re: The Unfinished Season - 2020 in Review
So this is the second round matchups. Before I chime in here, I will say that:
I think a/the Duke-Richmond game would have been very competitive, and I would have picked Duke.
I think Denver would have given Maryland a good game, and I might've chosen the "upset" and gone with Denver.
The rest went according to the way I'd have voted.
So, anyway:
No. 1 North Carolina vs. Richmond -- gee, hmmm...
No. 2 Loyola vs. James Madison -- good game; Loyola
No. 3 Notre Dame vs. Maryland -- Catholics
No. 4 Stony Brook vs. Penn -- upset, Quakers.
No. 5 Syracuse vs. Princeton -- L'Orange
No. 6 Northwestern vs. Michigan -- Purple
No. 7 USC vs. Florida -- Surfers.
No. 8 Dartmouth vs. Boston College -- Green

you can surf in SoCal and FLA....which one?
Re: The Unfinished Season - 2020 in Review
Here were my original guesses, the only difference is Princeton beat PSU, so Cuse over Princeton (close game)Dr. Tact wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 7:01 am
Early guestimates through first 2 rounds:
Play in:
Monmouth over MSM
HP over Mercer
First round:
Richmond over Duke (This is likely the hardest choice)
Dartmouth over Monmouth
BC over Mass
Penn over UVA
Penn State over Princeton
JMU over VT (how did they get in?)
USC over High Point
FLA over Stanford
MD over Denver (2nd hardest choice)
Mich over Jax
Second round:
UNC over Richmond
Dartmouth over BC
Penn over Stony Brook (this is a toss up or an upset, depending on how you look at it)
Cuse over PSU
Loyola over JMU
FLA over USC
ND over MD
Northwestern over Michingan

Princeton beats PSU by at least 7 in a "real game" but would have thought the PSU contingent show up to vote them to victory, oh well.Dr. Tact wrote: ↑Wed Apr 15, 2020 12:23 pmHere were my original guesses, the only difference is Princeton beat PSU, so Cuse over Princeton (close game)Dr. Tact wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 7:01 am

Re: The Unfinished Season - 2020 in Review
with 2 hours left on the Twitter polling, Nortwestern is being "beat" by Michigan 49.3% to 50.7%
Re: The Unfinished Season - 2020 in Review
I assume the committee will override this result.
Re: The Unfinished Season - 2020 in Review
I am calling shenanigans.....Michigan wins twitter polling with 59.3% of the vote over Northwestern? I think some computer nerd (i know maybe not politically correct) wrote a script....Are they thinking they were voting on Football?
Re: The Unfinished Season - 2020 in Review
I thought that was weak too. Of course the folks voting were worse.
