YORK 2019

Post by DeepPocket »

After a program best 19 win campaign culminating with an Elite 8 appearance, it’s time to look to the future.
With some key losses across the board, it will be up to Coach Childs to fill the voids and get back at it.

One key loss, three time All-American defensman Joey Fiorino, will enter into the NLL draft this Tuesday (09/25/18) in Philly.

Looking forward to this year and seeing what the schedule looks like on it’s release.

Great. Thanks for the link (because for some reason I still can’t find it while navigating the site on my own- has got to be user error)

I like the addition of RIT at the Classic, over last year with Naz.
Certainly ups the OOC aspect.

Was not at the scrimmages but heard from a recruit that was that York looked very solid. He said the offense especially looked athletic and smart.

York vs Cabrini this year, a match up that I have been waiting for and seems to make sense. Looking forward to watching this one.

Great showing of alumni players and fans alike for the alumni game tonight. The alumni roster was a veritable all-star team of YCP grads, all having been stand outs in their respective years. Final score I believe was York 16 Alumni 10.

As expected, it looks like Coach Childs is doing a good job reloading.

Just saw the USILA named York HC Brandon Childs D3 Coach of the year. Also Yale HC Shay (D1) and Lenoir-Rhyne HC Paradine (D2) get nods.

Childs has done a great job at YCP. 2019 could be an interesting year.

Inside Lacrosse’s DIII Top 20 places York at 9th coming into 2019. Washington & Lee, Amherst and Salisbury, who all took a loss against York last year, come in ranked higher in this list. This should provide ample motivation for the program to continue it’s push.

Kid was one of the best coming out of Harford County a few years ago. Think he battled a few injuries but is healthy again. Rich get richer. He will contribute at York.

Interesting that two of the commits are from Michigan. I take that as a good sign that York's recent success is allowing them to recruit from more states. Not that they would want to lose their strong MD connection but good to be able to get players from all over.
