Yes I think the UNOFFICIAL limit to the goals scored (while retaining your class status) on a lessor opponent is limited to 30. The more you pour on after 30, the less class you have. It's in the Coach"s rules and Regulation book, look under "thing"s that make you look bad" check the index. ;)

Classless...amazing if none of his players got lit up. Then again, considering their conference payback could be a big .... Could be on a similar other end of a game like that. Would be deserved.

I'd have to say that I'm surprised that a top starting player is still in the game when your are up 20 goals in early in the 3rd. This is a time to get your new and lesser skilled players minutes. Some of these guys won't get any minutes in those tight games.

Think at 8 minutes in the 3rd when they were up 24-3 they should of pulled the starters. He ran with his starters till the end of the 3rd. To each is own. Coach if you want to learn a little bit about sportsmanship DM me. I’ll connect you with Coach Clarke. No reason to pour it on like that. That’s a rookie mistake. Hate to see you when the shoes on the other foot. Hopefully that’s sooner then later.

In general, not your fault if your opponent is not very good. That being said even if they have a short roster though, 13 gs by one players is excessive. Early game, certainly want your pups to have a chance to get in the book, but at some point you go green light/red light as far as shooting goes. Hope the Felician squad can get it behind them and grow from this. At a time of rapid expansion and growth this lopsided result doesn't exactly grow the game

For those of us who have coached, how many times have you demanded 30-45-60 seconds before a shot, or required your players to only use their opposite hand? There are so many ways to avoid a result like this and still let your players play.
It's either a thoughtful comment or smartass sarcasm. Learn to recognize the difference.

Not to beat a dead horse... but I echo the sentiments above.

If you haven't been a part of a new program, you may not understand - a lot of these first and second year programs are literally pulling in kids who have never touched a lacrosse stick before. Practices are spent learning to pass and catch, not working on slide packages, off-ball offense/defense, clears, etc.

I've got a lot of respect for coaches/players starting new programs - it isn't easy, and lack of sportsmanship from established programs makes the process that much more painful.

Moving on.... excited to see how the poll looks this week! :D

Anyone with a eye on the Lincoln vs Ala. Huntsville game ? Is Lincoln slipping or Ala. improving ? seems like that should have gone the other way !

Big games upcoming on Saturday:

Belmont Abbey/Rockhurst --- is Rockhurst for real?
Indy/Mercyhurst --- could be a real fight
Limestone/Queens --- can Queens challenge a resurgent Stone?
Lynn/Mesa --- early challenge for Lynn
LIU Post/Pace --- should be a good one...
Seton Hill/Lindenwood--- Seton Hill has two losses, Lindenwood is 5-0. SHU really does not want to lose this one...

and if only to see if they can get into the W column: NYIT/Bentley

On Sunday:

Lake Erie/Merrimack --- exactly how good is Mack in their last year before the transition process takes them out of DII competition (they are still eligible for the DII championship this year)

Awesome game - well matched teams. BA shows why it’s #4, Rockhurst makes a push for playoff discussion. Would love to see more games like that

Just got back from Stone/Queens - ended up 10-9 as the Saints lost all momentum in the fourth period to give up three straight goals to make this one closer than it was most of the game...

Watching the BA/Rockhurst game it is apparent that Rockhurst can certainly play. BA did a good job slowing them down. But, Rockhurst still had 48 shots (26 on goal) in regulation. Field conditions had an effect on the game. However, both teams did a good job on defense despite the poor footing. I would like to see these two teams play again, maybe the semifinal in the South NCAA regional???? BA is home against Queens and UIndy over the next couple of weeks. So, good competition coming for them. Rockhurst comes bask to the south and plays some conference foes and Limestone (3/11).

Fellow GLVC member UIndy (ranked #9) took care of #8 Mercyhurst by 2 goals in an 11-9 win at home. So, the Greyhounds might have something to say about who plays in the South region playoffs.

Lindenwood didn't have much for Seton Hill. Seton Hill won that game 13-7. Seton Hill dominated the Lions on GBs and Faceoffs. Not a recipe for success if you are Lindenwood... Lindenwood hasn't really done much other than beat Co. Mesa when Mesa was ranked #10 (which I think was generous and most pollsters agreed after that loss). The Lions will host Tampa and St. Leo over the next couple of weeks. Which really is the best case scenario for Lindenwood. They are very good at home... Or have been traditionally...
