Has anyone heard that Methodist is reclassifying to D2 from D3? I heard a couple of weeks ago in discussion about new programs and programs reclassifying.

IL Pdocast from a week or so ago saying that Flagler College (FL) will be announcing new program soon. Thoughts?

BTW, Barton as a new program has worked its way up to a #5 seed in Conference Carolinas (for the tournament)...

Or you could rephrase that and say that Barton, in their first year, is better than Emmanuel.
Doesn't quite have the same ring to it ...
It's either a thoughtful comment or smartass sarcasm. Learn to recognize the difference.

Lander will affiliate with the GLVC.

Shorter will leave the GLVC to apparently compete as an Independent.

The GLVC announcement makes no mention of Quincy. (curious)

Not a new program but Notre Dame de Namur has affiliated with the RMAC beginning in 2019-20 in an announcement that was made in early May.

It's about time this happens although I suspect they were waiting for the Missouri schools to leave. This MIGHT open the door for more varsity programs in the West.

I wouldn't hold your breath on more programs popping up out west, least not int he RMAC. Adam State is on the verge of closing the entire school and other RMAC schools aren't in great areas to add lacrosse successfully. RMAC coaches have put a lot of effort in school adding and its still not paying off.

Big move that could push the effort would be Concordia-Irvine going varsity and joining the RMAC. That would be the program to make a waves out west.

Yeah, not holding my breath; I know it's a pretty big MIGHT. As I was typing that post the two schools that came to mind that I guessed would be the key were Concordia-Irvine and Dominican. For some reason it seems CUI has become one to watch and Dominican's current club team was varsity about five years ago. Just hoping to see more teams especially west of the Mississippi.

It is not an addition - maybe a subtraction. Is the men's program at Ohio Valley dead? Former coach who was rehired last summer left in March for an Associate AD position at two-year Georgia Military College...

Ohio Valley didn't field a team in 2019. Could be gone!

Wheeling Jesuit lacrosse may also be in trouble. The school is having financial problems; fired professors, cut some majors, and pulled many scholarships across the board. They will also have to find a new name as the Jesuits have cut ties to the school. All this... but they are going all in on football and will field a new team this year.

Mercyhurst and Seton Hill lax continue to play a tough OOC schedule and will be on top of the GMAC regardless. Lake Erie should have a better team as they lost recruits last year when their coach left for Frostburg. Walsh should be able to improve also, Alderson Broadus and Davis & Elkins will continue to be bottom feeders.

OVU is a tough sell. Not sure if anyone has been to campus but its INSANELY tiny. No facilities for athletics or academics. Just 1 building and another for dorms. They need to shut the whole operation down. I wouldn't send my kid to a school like that, especially in West Virginia....

No longer see Wheeling Jesuit men's lacrosse as an option on their website.

They're in trouble. Much of the team transferred out and it looks like they won't have enough players to field a team.
