Seton Hill now #6. Made a difference for obvious reasons.

How is Catawba below Wingate and Florida Tech with wins against each. Their only losses are to Limestone, Belmont Abbey and Mount Olive which are all in your top 5.
I know there are points awarded, but it doesn’t seem to make sense, especially if neither of those 2 teams has wins against those 3 top 5 teams either.

MDLax, first, you can't do rankings based on head-to-head. Inevitably, the teams end up chasing each other's tails. so, instead, we do Ws and Ls. specifically, best Ws and worst Ls (when relevant). so...

think of it this way, Catawba's 3 best wins are Fl Tech, Wingate, and then a decent drop-off to Coker. Fl tech's are Rollins, Young Harris, and Lenoir-Rhyne. Wingate's are Rollins, Fl. Southern, and North Greenville. Fl. Tech's and Wingate's are better. If (when) we did Top 2, Catawba was on top. But, deeper into the season, with Top 3, they get the edge. catawba needs another good W.

I would love to know the coach/coaches that gave NYIT votes, I understand that they are snake bit and maybe better then their record indicates (you are what your record says you are) but what coach would give them a vote?

Yeah, once you get past Lynn, someone's been using a bad dart board (actually 3-4 bad dart boards)! UAH and Adams State have two DII wins combined!!

UAH, 2-8, with wins over LMU and NAIA Tennessee Wesleyan?
Adams State, 3-4, with wins over Notre Dame de Namur, DIII Johnson & Wales and NAIA Saint Mary?
Molloy at least has 4 wins with a D2 schedule?

Get this -- UAH and Adams State each have more points than NYIT, Maryville, Mesa, Fla Tech, and Chestnut Hill combined?
That means three voters put UAH around #15, or maybe just two voters ranked them #12r. Same for Adams State.
Maybe it's someone's late April Fools!
It's either a thoughtful comment or smartass sarcasm. Learn to recognize the difference.

After watching Mercy take apart Tech on Saturday I think the dart board may well have been used. By this point in the season you ought to have teams in the top 20 that ALL have winning records...

I mean Tampa, at 10-4 just made it back into the rankings. Earlier this season I thought they had the toughest schedules of all the teams in the South. Considering how they started, I can see them just getting back in. But Tech? SMH

I have no idea how Inside Lacrosse justifies these rankings. I understand that Coke is sugar water and brands matter. But in sports? And so much? What does a Queens need to do before they get their due. Why is Adelphi #1? It makes no sense. The world is unjust!

First, voting polls really don't matter.

That said, I think #9 for queens is reasonable at this point. The last 2 conference games will tell us the most about them. They seemed to struggle with Mars Hill last week. Personally, what I've seen of the north, I'm surprised they don't have the top 5 spots and then start the teams from the south.

Based on Ws and Ls, Queens should be higher.

IMO head to head doesn't matter. did that poll come out before BA loss to Limestone? with tampa, rockhurst and Uindy, I'd say BA played a tougher schedule. BA has 2 weak games coming up. Queens has 2 tougher from their conference. Lets see what happens over the next few weeks.

The other poll matters the most. That determines you seed in the tournament.

i'm speaking to what Queens (and BA and others) have done. Ws and Ls. Not predicting. Just saying, based on Ws and Ls, Queens should be ranked higher.

The media and coaches polls always have some historical bias, as well as probably some regional bias as well.

But the objective computer rankings say Queens has to be higher...

KRACH top ten in order (as of last night):
1. Stone
2. Queens
3. Abbey
4. Adelphi
5. Mercy
6. Indy
7. Mount Olive
8. Wingate
9. Phins
10. Mack

Fanlax computer ratings:
1. Stone
2. Adelphi
3. Queens
4. Abbey
5. Indy
6. Mercy
7. Mount Olive
8. Phins
9. Mack
10. Pace

Massey:
1. Stone
2. Adephi
3. Mack
4. Phins
5. Abbey
6. Queens
7. Pace
8. Seton Hill
9. LIU Post
10. Indy

Now Adelphi, Merrimack and Le Moyne should continue to creep up in my KRACH ratings as they get closer to finishing their regular season schedules. But you can make the argument that Queens does deserve something higher than where they are...
