i think the school was tired of being little brother to Delby and thought this year was their year. i also thought it was their year and with an early exit to Bosco, i think that might have been the final straw.

With no internal knowledge of the situation other than what has been said in the papers, the alleged reason stems from an incident that saw him suspended for SHP's first two games. Again, no idea whether the infraction that led to the suspension was serious, or just a slap on the wrist that is now being used to justify forcing him out for unrelated reasons.
Personally, I always felt next year seemed more like the year given that their three stars would all be seniors then (or last year, with Westlin and Kirst). The program is in very good shape going forward even after next year, and for what it's worth, the assistant coach who stepped in during Giarrusso's 2 game absence oversaw two of SHP's best wins: a 21-10 thrashing of PIAA champ LaSalle, and an 8-7 comeback over Interac champ Malvern Prep.
