I actually had zero confidence that JHU would win last week, and I still felt that way at halftime. That’s why I posted it’s a 60+ minute game and needed 30 more good minutes.

Poof.
So YOU are responsible for the bad JuJu.
Maybe, if bad JuJu can reach over XXXX+ miles.

after todays results
to make the b1g we need 1 win in 2 games or an osu loss.
to make the ncaas we need 2 regular season wins or 1 regular season win and 2 b1g tournament wins. anything less and it's onto 2020.

Lets go.

I don't see how in one scenario Hopkins needs 2 wins and in the other one needs 3 wins.

I think any 2 wins - regardless of when they come - will probably get Hopkins into the tournament.

It will be a tough road. If Hopkins gets in by winning some of these late season games, they have earned it.

Wins against MD and PSU puts Hopkins at 8 - 5 which would be the 2 best wins for almost any team - beating the no. 1 team and a top 5 team. In theory, makes whatever Hopkins does in the B1G irrelevant. they could go 1-1 in the tournament for a record of 9 and 6 or 8 and 6 and they are probably in.

A win and a lose in the next two game leaves them at 7-6. A win gets them to 8-6. They would probably still need to win the tournament. I can't see a 8-7 team going especially given that Hopkins has shown no ability to be competitive in the NCAAs over the last decade - outside of 1 year.

Doesn't matter. Hopkins isn't winning either tomorrow or against UMd. Only question will be if the AD makes the right choice.

In the Win/loss/(1st round win) scenario, guess who that second win is against? Yep, Penn State or Maryland.

So you're telling me that there is a chance.....

And agree with Hawk. To get two wins, we either best PSU & Maryland, or Maryland 2x (if I'm looking at the probable seeding correctly).

You all have a good game plan today. Haven't seen another team fluster PSU early in games. Not even Yale. Petro providing the rest of D1 lacrosse the blueprint for beating PSU. Don't know if you all will, but this is how you do it. Controlling the face-off, shutting O'keefe off, forcing Ament to dodge to goal, pressuring the younger midfielders into turnovers. Now...if you all could play a little stronger with the ball...

Watching this Hopkins team chase ground balls is legitimately hilarious.

at least watching the ground ball chase is entertaining (bcos there's a chance).

The Penn State O is just taking their man 1-1 and beating them. Every.......time.

not sure why Petro is calling a TO. I'd swap out the starters and let the bench players get some PT. That would be an obvious white flag, so hopefully Tambroni does the same.

I think Hop should run more. I get why they don't, but attacking this set defense isn't going to work.

I rarely complain about officiating, but some of the non-calls against Penn State are ridiculous. At least a couple of pushes with possession not called.
