Re: NCAC 2019
So if Witt beats Wooster and DePauw beats Hiram, it’s a 3-way tie for the 4th tourney spot? That outcome seems rather likely! I guess a tie-breaker then decides who gets the privilege of facing the top-seed? And Kenyon faces the team that loses this weekends match up?

Re: NCAC 2019
NESCAC is the gold standard of parity, for sure. Just about every other conference has a very notable quality gap from the top few teams to the bottom few. A nice step for NCAC would be to get to something more like the Centennial or Liberty League, where the teams in the top half/middle of the conf...

Re: TV Announcers Consternation Station
What I want to know is- which leading D1 attackman is most similar to which Avengers character? I didn’t catch the end of the commentary; my 10-year old son said “Dad, this is stupid!” and muted it.

Re: Massachusetts
Does anyone have any insight on what happened at the Coaches Cup? Along those lines, is there another board out there for Mass lax? Much less chatter here than on LaxPower in years past, and way less than on the CT, ISL, and NE West boards. I’m from Boston, played college lax in Ohio, and now live/c...

Re: Connecticut 2019
An interesting cross-regional game- Wilton is hosting Mercer Island from Washington state today. Mercer Island is probably the best team in Washington this season, and always in the top 5. It looks like they lost to Yorktown 13-10 on Tuesday, which was closer than I would have guessed. I don’t have ...

Re: NCAC 2019
The results of the OWU-Otterbein, Kenyon-Otterbein, and OWU-Kenyon games are a good lesson in the difficulty of comparing relative opponent scores to make predictions. I figured Lords would give them a game at least. Looks like OWU isn’t interested in dropping to third place in the NCAC just yet!

Re: NCAC 2019
Wow, I’m impressed by the Kenyon performance vs Otterbein. They lost to Roanoke and dropped close games in OT to Baldwin-Wallace and Haverford. Rather than hang their heads, perhaps the Lords have learned some valuable lessons and are gelling in the mid-season.

Re: NCAC 2019
Kenyon is in an uncomfortably close game with Baldwin-Wallace at home. After going up 5-1, B-W climbed back in to tie the game at the half. It's currently 10-9 Lords with 10 minutes left in the third. This is one they should win if they want to be competitive with Roanoke and OWU later on. UPDATE- B...

Re: NCAC 2019
I think what the original poster meant was that IF they were members of the NCAC, John Carroll and Otterbein would likely finish 3rd and 4th behind Denison and OWU, and ahead of Kenyon, Witt, Wooster, and the rest of the pack. It looks like Otterbein will have their chances against NCAC teams shortl...

Re: NCAC 2019
Kenyon over Sewanee 12-9. Lords have non-conference games coming up against Haverford and Roanoke. Both programs are down this year so it’ll be interesting to see if Kenyon can take advantage.
OWU trailing Salisbury 16-6 with a quarter left to play.

Re: NCAC 2019
Here are some games along with some guesses... Fri 3/1- -Otterbein vs Wooster- I think Otterbein will be hungry for a solid NCAC win after almost taking down OWU last weekend. Sat 3/2- -Carthage vs DePauw -Adrian vs Hiram -Oberlin vs Olivet -Wittenberg vs Transylvania -Denison vs Roanoke- A tale of ...
