Re: CAC 2020
Wow. Surprising indeed.
Been fun to watch SMC's improvement too.
On paper this year should be as competitive as ever.
I expect the Conference playoff seeds to come down to the last day of league games. Nothing written in stone this year.

Re: Loyola University Lacrosse 2020
Hounds poles and LSMs are not what I'm worried about for Loyola. I like the experience and depth we have there. It'll be a real team effort there. Goalie is a question till we see the answer under live-fire. I think if they can be near or around .500 save %, the Hounds will be ok this season. Hoping...

Re: Salisbury 2020
Harford has good relations with York already- so it might be a good idea for SU to get in the mix if they want to stay relevant... (Kidding!) York landed Chandler Schmidt from Harford. I don't know how his transition is going, but he was a heckuva good player in hs and at HCC so its not hard t...

Re: Salisbury 2020
So familiar with the Gulls, obviously and Harford. To give some context to the comments above, it's no coincidence the Gulls hosted Harford. Or that Harford kept it respectable. There may be some talent on Harford that makes its way to the Eastern shore next year. One of the Harford assistants is fo...

Re: Loyola University Lacrosse 2020
Hounds may take some time to get their feet under them. But there's enough talent at Evergreen. I think it will be a fun journey this years as the team matures and gels. And who knows, I think we could surprise some teams.

Re: Is club lax destroying Public HS programs?
Club Lacrosse organizations really need to consider their impact on the growth of the game. Youth club lacrosse is having a larger downstream impact on Public HS programs than HS club lacrosse is, purely on its impact on lacrosse participation. Youth Club is decimating the feeder programs and makin...

Re: CAC 2020
I think this is a good thing for smc. They value academics first. And this conference will let them excel in athletics from time to time. I agree with some other sentiment though. I wonder if this is a permanent change or a stopgap as the CAC has been in bad shape and on its way out for a few years ...

Re: CAC 2020
The good news is the ability to capture an AQ will be easier. For lax and many other sports for smc. On paper, they automatically become the top dog in many sports. The bad news is the SOS will take a hit and the road trips will be much longer. I see smc doing their best to renew and keep close riva...

Not an entirely frosh team. JC sent a lot of freshmen and Sophs. But a couple of those young kids were varsity players.

Sooo...This is all pretty messed up. On a million levels. ROckets owner supports Hong Kong, and faces huge backlash from China, sponsors etc. Now the NBA is backtracking and trying to save its cash cow. As such, free speech is being taken away from US citizens. And previously highly political and o...

Re: CAC 2020
SMCM should be in good shape, but not sure this enough to improve their standing from last year, given how talented York, SU and CNU are. Although I do like the HS and club programs that Childs in mining for talent. Looking to see who steps up in goal for them. Additionally, I think they could have ...

Re: Conservatives and Liberals
Not sure I'd exclusively target companies doing business with China as somehow the most evil aspects of capitalism though. never said it was an "evil of capitalism". My point was more about the dynamics of the situation. It could be ANY despotic country. But China has a track record of ki...
