Haverford has their coach. A coordinator from a NESCAC school. Should be announced soon. Pilot or Carrington… who will it be My afternoon trip to the least-traffic’d office baño allowed me to check the Jeffs and Cardinals athletics web pages…Carrington is still listed, Pilat is not. If the logic is...

Breschi firing Metzbower is a complete chicken sh…. move! The guy gets some heat from the AD and he offers up one of the great OC’s of all time as a sacrifice to buy himself some time. Metz and his 7 national championship rings is the primary reason why Breschi has 1 ring and he buried the guy. Wha...

Seems like they can’t hold a coach more then 6 months and if not mistaken I think that’s 4 coaches in 4 years.boredatwork wrote: ↑Wed Jun 28, 2023 4:02 pm The annual Marian University (WI) search is back

Re: Landmark Conference 2023
I think anyone playing 6 years of college sports is kinda wild. I’m sure the kid is getting a 2 year MBA so he’s probably saying it makes sense so why not. My thing is that in 21 teams had half a season. E town had played like 9 games at that point when the lost in the chip so, to say they didn’t h...

6th year guys lost 20 and 21 and have not had the opportunity to play a typical college career. Blame the schools and NCAA for making the ruling not the player. I say good for him, he is obviously a talented player who loves the game, I applaud him for sticking with it.

Jack boyden tufts to Virginia is official https://www.insidelacrosse.com/article/grad-transfers-uva-lands-diii-player-of-the-year-jack-boyden-from-tufts/61753 Fun side conversation: Is this the biggest D3 to D1 transfer ever? I’d say John Grant Jr. - Morrisville to Delaware is. But I’m pretty certa...

Turned down by Lr, stone, and Wingate head coaches. D1 Athletics with a D2 budget. Good luck Queens.

As a guy who lost his college program a few years ago my heart goes out to all of the players, coaches, former players and anyone who had anything to do with that program. I’m sure they are all gutted right now.

Yes prep school, juco, other JV’s all count as games played. I think it’s crazy too.

Per Jastrzembski “Finally, on the head coach situation at Queens: Expecting it to be a head coach from a current Division II school. Couple of names being floated around as we speak.” Anyone with any ideas on who could be in the mix for this Job? I’d have to think Coach P’s situation at LR is way b...

Re: MOUNT ST MARYS 2023
McIntee? Mike Morgan?? Either could be a good hire. However, I think Morgan may want to continue what he has going at Merrimack. Now, McIntee I see as a better possibility. After all, he isn't currently a head coach, and he was the associate head coach at the Mount not too, too long ago. really? Mc...

Re: D3 Roster Size
Since we're on a D3 board discussing roster sizes, I feel it begs the question - Who in D3 had the largest roster? Without much digging and just off the top of my head based on prior searches I'm going to throw out my top 3 that I've found Stevenson - 62 Trine - 56 RIT - 55 Wow! Stevenson is down o...

Re: D3 Roster Size
Good points Nosey Ned especially about the minimum size of a roster that should be allowed. My son has played teams that have very small rosters. Durning the game a few get injured and by the time it's over they are down to 3 or 4 subs. The final score of these games are like 20 to 0 and could have...

Re: D3 Roster Size
This topic is not a one size fits all. In other words, what is appropriate for a perennial top 25 D3 program is not anywhere near the same considerations for roster size of a mid level program which in turn, is not the same considerations of a further lower level program. A top 25 program has the l...

Re: D3 Roster Size
Institutions and coaches should have as many guys on their roster as they would like, even if it is 60 plus. If the last 10 guys never see the field, continue to help out with the team GPA and mom and dad are happy being the team parents for most of their son's career, so be it. That being said, to...

Re: D3 Roster Size
What is the coaching willing to do in terms of travel. How many fit on a bus? Do you take everyone or do you have a travel roster? Over 50 is hard to manage for one team but 40 or less is really light especially if you have a couple of k juries and now all of a sudden. You have 36. I would expand t...

Re: Coaching Carousel 2023 - D3
JV lacrosse teams have gone away because a lot of kids were insulted when asked to play a JV game and with NCAA cap on games played, any JV game a player takes part in, the coach would have to sit him out for a varsity game potentially putting the team in a bad spot and short players for varsity game.
