With all due respect to the great players on that list, I don't know how Jay Frye - M - Roanoke didn't make it. He had 80 GBs this year with a shorty no FOGO. C'mon now.
Congrats to Sean Kennedy on ODAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year, that kid is special.
Yeah I'm a homer, so be it. Roll Noke.

Re: ODAC 2024
This week is huge across all of lacrosse, but my eyes are on the ODAC Starting this post by looking at my Tigers vs the Jackets. Momentum wise, both groups have been stagnant the past few weeks. Weaker competition to end the season after both groups look at the Gennies who sit at home after a tough...

Re: ODAC 2024
Well well well, Noke goes into FarmVille and beats the piss out of the Boys Club. Wonder if not resting starters and pumping the lower competition in conference payed dividends? I guess Kammerman, Docking and Whitlow can stat pad against better talent too. Ice up Sydney. Math class, all dudes, 10am...

Re: ODAC 2024
What did the Shenandoah do to Roanoke to piss them off?!? I was checking box scores and Roanoke took 83 freaking shots! Is that normal for these ODAC games with top tier playing lower tier? Very nomal for Pilate to pull a dbag move like that. When you have rosters of 50+ and the kids at the bottom ...

Re: Syracuse 2024
Pretty fantastic to see the best relief pitcher in MLB history at a lacrosse game  Even Mo's kids would rather play lacrosse. I am by no means a Syracuse fan, but I am so impressed with this team. I think they have to be considered one of a handful of teams with a shot to win it all this season...

Re: ODAC 2024
Looks like Ferrum has forfeited their games for the season. Unfortunately I think the program is finished - if that has already been covered here my apologies. I did notice that Ferrum appears on some schedules with a forfeit, so they made an attempt to play this season but couldn't do it I presume....

Re: Starts dates for D3 teams
Of course no D3 team could beat UVA or Penn but the talent is comparable enough that those D1 powers feel it is worth their while and good training to play top D3 teams. [/quote] If you scroll far enough back (and this is a horse beaten to death since), the 2021 UVA/Lynchburg scrimmage had an unoff...

Re: Roanoke 2024
Schedule is up: https://roanokemaroons.com/sports/mens-lacrosse/schedule . First game: February 14th. Putting aside the important ODAC games at the end of the season, the true test of the schedule is Feb. 28th-March 20th when Roanoke plays Grove, Dickinson (neutral site at Bullis), Wesleyan (neutral...

Roanoke 2024
Merry Christmas Maroons. The grapevine tells me that Noke has a formidable out of conference schedule this season - Wesleyan and Dickinson among others. I see a veteran group coming back in 2024 with something to prove, and the experience and talent to win those close games that they haven't always ...

Re: NESCAC
Settle an argument: How many Duke players would last year’s Bates team need to win the NESCAC? Assume you can pick which Duke players you need at any position… I think it’s closer to 2. To support this I would submit Matt Chlastawa, the best player in Bates history. In 2019, his last full season fo...

Really impressed with Cooper Perkins and Nick Ossello on the US/England broadcast. Pretty close to flawless, Ossello has some really interesting observations. Would love to see them get work on ESPN college broadcasts.

Will this be the best D3 lacrosse facility in the country when it opens next spring? I think it all depends on what other bells and whistles they will have at this facility Looks a lot like Roanoke: https://www.roanoke.edu/student_life/facilities . I would posit that the Cregger Center/Kerr Field a...

Re: Transfer Portal
I checked out Babson's roster today and it looks like they have some big time transfers using 5th years: Ryan Kenney - Lynchburg (2nd Team ODAC 66 goals last year) Will Spangenburg - Holy Cross (34 points) Michael La Forte - Grove City (65 points) This is interesting to look back at now. Spangenbur...

Re: NCAA reorg imminent
Questions concerning the health of the ACC dominated three days of meetings at the conference's annual spring summit at the Ritz-Carlton tucked in the northeast corner of Florida. The worst-kept secret among members finally went public as athletic directors entered their first meeting Monday aftern...

Re: Transfer Portal 2024
I wonder why Richie Lacalandra withdrew from school after 4 games in... Not happy with his playing time and his role.. Considering the ball was in Myers stick for the bulk of the time, he wasn't used to being an offball player. Hearing he's heading back to the A 10 (not Hobart). Back to the A-10? T...

Re: ODAC 2023
Let's be clear, I'm not cutting a promo for Sydney. I didn't care for the way the team conducted itself yesterday, didn't care for what I heard from their fans on the sideline either. Definitely a lot of little brother vibes going on with that program. But, they're the best team in the ODAC this yea...
