Re: New Face Off Rules
As a lacrosse guy I really like the new face off rules. Yes I was skeptical of all the tinkering done with face offs over the years. But it's a lot of fun to watch - I liked the old rules, but I like the fight now you see more of it for ground balls. My son who is a fogo loves it. He says it is easi...

Re: 2021 Scores and upcoming games
I agree on guys working hard and getting into the game late in a convincing win. You shouldn't tell them not to play or the freshman and sophomore that is trying to show they can play. However, leaving your starters in is another thing. I have kids playing and played on both ends of the spectrum. On...

Re: Limestone University 2021
Lenior Rhyne was missing two upper classman defenders. They were playing three true freshman at LSM and close D. Eric and Myles did account for half the points- Bryce Reece I think he had 2 goals and it did look like LS played him close to keep him from getting good looks. I bring Bryce up because h...

Great to see Will Hubbs name! He is the real deal. My son played travel ball with him. Centre seems to have a very talented team with depth.

Re: Anderson
When they are winning face offs and pushing transition they can score in chunks. I think it's great for a first year program. I think they could win 3 more games. I was at the Barton game (all transparency my kid plays for Barton) and the game went to the wire and I really thought Anderson was going...

Re: ~Mercyhurst 2021~
Seton Hill looked strong in their opener and I heard they looked sharp in their scrimmages. I think it will a battle between the 2 (mercyhurst and Seton Hill ) in the conference. It will be an interesting season - Frostburg might be their toughest out of conference game. With no real south vs north ...

Re: 2021 Scores and upcoming games
LR definitely looked rusty early with all the kids who have not played this year, but they shook the rust off and closed out the game. Along with Eccleston and Moffat scoring key goals. Also, Anderson is a very good program with a solid team - I believe they will only get better as they add to the r...

Re: 2021 Scores and upcoming games
The key point is they were missing both Eric Dickinson and Myles Moffat- the leading scorers. Together they would account for over 100 points per season. Dickinson holds the SAC record for.most points scored.
Great job by Coach P and staff.

Re: 2021 Scores and upcoming games
LR and NGU was super close. However, LR played with 24 kids tonight. I don't have all the facts, but I heard there a lot of kids out including some of their preseason All americans. Notice no Eric Dickinson in the box score today or vs Mercer. They won a close game with a mix of 1's, but a lot 2 and...

Re: UAH Men's LAX
I think it's tough to find a proven commodity to take a D2 job in many cases. Coach Perridine has been successful in building the program at LR. However, he wasn't a big name coach when started the program. Sure he has a great playing pedigree, but his head coaching experience was high school - albe...

Re: Regional Realignment
Balancing out north and south seems likes like something that would gain a lot of interest in normal times. I do agree it's good for D2 to balance North and South. The question to ask is will further accelerate the haves and have nots? The Peach Belt Conference doesn't have a team IMO that will make...

Re: UAH Men's LAX
You are correct no AQ in D2. Possibly- the author assumed that D2 has AQs similar to D1. Under the current format I would think a PBC team would need to win their conference, go undefeated and beat some top 10 teams to make the tournament. I think if D2 had AQs with the same number of teams in the t...

Re: 2021 Season
Great point about every game counting in a shorter season. Also, conference tournaments will be important. I wonder if more weight will go to conference tournament winners than in the past? Strength of conference is going to make it tough (IMO) for teams from a weak conference to make the playoffs u...

2021 Season
Who will be at the top of the rankings in the spring? I have noticed more than several transfers from D2 to D1. Who has seniors coming back for the 5th year? The 2020 season was shaping up to be a good one. Will it be Tampa's year? I think most of their kids are back. What happens to Limestone and L...

Re: UAH Men's LAX
Interesting that Flagler is playing in the peach belt for Lacrosse vs SSC. Most of the mens lax teams in Florida are in the SSC. But since Flagler is a member of the Peach Belt for other sports guess that would be the reasoning. However, it would be much easier to travel and play in Florida as a mem...

Re: UAH Men's LAX
I like the idea - If the travel ban stays in place it would make sense for some conference realignments. I don't see Florida Tech leaving the SSC to move to the GSC or North Greenville leaving CC, but they arent in the GLVC now. I mention it because their girls teams are in the GSC. You would lose s...

He graduated in 2015, so he has been out of school five years. He coached HS lacrosse out of college. His dad coached at Guilford in the '90's and coached him in HS. His brother was on the Tewarton watch list this year - he plays at Mercer. He grew up around lacrosse. Yes I know him - he coached my ...

Re: Here we go again with the Face Off
I did like the post about how it hasn't been legal to carry the ball in the back of your stick for over 5 years. I keep seeing that mentioned which indicates that almost every one making their case for big changes etc - has never taken a face-off. The game will continue to evolve and so will the fac...
